Section One, Pae J'u- U'Lizj VJJ Lid Miss McAlpin graduated at Ferry Hall Miss Melissa McAlpin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom McAlpin of Mauce, was graduated from The Ferry HaU School, Lake Forest, on Saturday, June 5, 1971, The Ferry Hall School, founded in 18C9, Is an independent, non denominational, college preparatory school for girls. Miss McAlpin will enter Pratt Institute In New York in the fall. Kathy McCarty is graduated at Gulf Park Katherine McCarty, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. F. McCarty of Magee, was graduated recently from Gulf Park College, Miss McCarty was one of ninety girls who took part In the graduation ceremony on May 29. The graduation marked the end of the school's operation as a two year college for young women. Declining enrollment and splrallng expense are blamed by officials for the closing of the 50-year-old private institution, recognized nationally for Its splendid academic Obituaries The Old Spanish Fort near Pascagoula was erected In 1721 by the French as protection against Indians and Spanish.

The 33-year-old coach is married to the former Lois Dowdle, and they are the parents of Mary, 14; Ben, 10; Robert, and Beth, 2. Hawkins Is a Methodist, a member of the Mississippi Coaches Association, officer of the Wesson Jaycees, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. President Billy B. Thamesof Copiah-Lincoln said, "We are happy to have Coach Hawkins assume the head coaching position.

We will all work to help him maintain the team spirit and the spirit that prevailed on campus this year." and Mrs. George E. Sullivan of Mt. Olive, died June 8, 1971, at Magee General Hospital following a four year illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m.

Tuesday from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nelson Fortenberry, the Rev. Judlne Purser, and the Rev. Hart officiating. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.

Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements. The Hinds County native was born Nov. 14, 1961, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Besides his parents, survivors include two sisters, Peggy Arlene Sullivan and Carol Joyce Sullivan, both of Mt. Olive; his maternal Grandmother, Mrs.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at 4 p.m.' from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. CM. Grayson and the Rev. George Harper officiating. Interment was at Sharon Cemetery.

Bonnie Tanner, Magee, and Mrs. Louise Mangum, Magee; three brothers, Archie Dilmore, Magee, Earnest Dilmore, Jackson, and Mitchell Dilmore, Magee; one sister, Miss Myrtle Dilmore, Magee; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
