She was predeceased by her husband, William V. Walker; son, Raymond Harris; great-grandson, Mark Harris. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Janet Harris; grandchildren, Raymond and Rita Harris, Nancy and Robert Sullivan, Sharon and Clifford Davis, Eric and Mary Harris, Roger and Diane Harris, Scott and Cathy Harris; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-greatgrandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Gould of Endicott Ruth M. Gould, of Endicott, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 29, 2000, at Our lady of Lourdes Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ralph S. Gould, Endicott; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Bev Gould. Vestal, Jeff and Freda Gould, Vestal; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Facik and her friend, Strange, St.

Petersburg, Cindy and Dave Rudginis, Glen Aubrey, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Heather Facik, Stacie Gould, Corey Gould, Amy Gould; one great grandchild, Christian Youngblood; one brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Lorraine Wylam; four sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wylam, Betty Gould, Marge Gould and Alice Wylam; one brother-in-law, Jerry Gould; also several nieces and nephews. Emanuel W. Lepro of Thompson, Pa. Emanuel W. Lepro, 80, RR 2 Thompson, died Wednesday morning, September 27, 2000 at Wayne Memorial Hospital following an illness. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Stanton Lepro.

A graduate of Thompson High School, he was a retired dairy farmer at the family homestead in Preston Township. He was a member of the Orson United Methodist Church and a beloved husband, father, grandfa ther, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Janet Prvor; four sons, Daniel, Conifer, David, Mechanicsburg, Bri an, Verona, Alan, Thompson, two daughters, Constance, St. Paul, Eileen, Salem, 14 grand children, two great grandchildren; four sisters, Beulah and Naomi Lepro, Endicott, Carlita Plew, Arlington, Justin Oleksa, Lake City, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Aaron and Ronnie, and a brother Calvin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8th at Orson United Methodist Church beginning at 12 noon, prior to a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., Pastor Joan Dodson, officiating. Margaret A. "Peg" Kelly, 73, of St. Joseph, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 30, 2000 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. Kelly; her parents, Margaret and Daniel Fitzgerald; and her brothers, Raymond and James Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Joseph Homan and Shirley Kelly; and her son Daniel Kelly, St. Joseph. her grandchildren, Michele, Jon, and Katie Homan; a sister, Mary Lou Sabitus, St. Joseph. brothers, Donald and Therese Fitzgerald, Kirk wood, I homas Fitzgerald, Binghamton; sister-in-law, Helen Fitzgerald, Apalachin: several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Peg was a member of the St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph, Pa. and the Altar-Rosary Society and involved in perpetual adoration. She was also a volunteer lor literacy.

Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Binghamton, Tuesday at 10 a.m. and at 1 1 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, St.

Joseph, Pa. where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, Pa. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Mon- day from 4 to 8 p.m.

Awad, Sr, of Owego, N.Y. George C. Awad, of Owego N.Y., passed away at his home, Friday evening, September 29, 2000. He was born in Lebanon, February 2, 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Chukry Youssef Awad. He was a member of Si Church and a prominent local businessman. George was predeceased by his wile, Laura Awad, in 1997; and his brother, loutic Awad. He i survived by two sons and daughtcrs-iri law, George Jr. and Billie Awad Dryden, N.Y., Thomas C.

Jester of Cortland, N.Y William E.

Jester, 80, of Glenn St. Cortland, N.Y., passed away Friday September 29, 2000 in Cortland Memo rial Hospital. Born, November 18, 1919 in Franklin, N.Y. William was a son of Floyd and Ada Woodard Jester. Wil liam faithfully served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps.

He was employed in (Juality Control at Smith-Corona before retiring after 22 years of service. William was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. His memberships included: Knights of Columbus Cortland Council 233, An cient Order of Hibernians, Moose Club and the American Leeion. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Crimmins Jester; three sons, Robert (Linda) Jester Vestal, Daniel Jester, Cortland and Richard (Sheri), Tucson, three daughters, Patricia Jester, Cortland, Kathleene (Patrick) Bartolone, Bing hamton and Maria Niederhofer, Boul der, Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Chapel of Bertini- Riccardi Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 1 a.m. in St. Mary's Church with Rev. John Fenlon presiding.

Copp, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2000, at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal. She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard Copp; her daughter, Dolores Benza; her brothers, Theodore and Joseph Monaco; and her sisters, Mary Mangene, Rose Farrulli, and Margue rite Solomon. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Reeve and Rose Copp, Dana Point, five grandchildren, James Copp, Virgin ia Kimmel, Anthony Copp, Gary and Greg Goon; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucille Couch, Endicott, Betty and Sal Massa, Vestal; one brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Gertrude Monaco, Endicott; one son-in-law, Joe Benza, Endicott; brother-in-law, Sam Parrulli, sisters-in-law, Dorrine Monaco and Marguerite Culver; several nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Ambrose Church of Endicott and its Altar and Rosary Society, Past President and member of American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary of Endicott. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and the Bridge Studio. She was a member of the Democratic Election Inspectors and the Endicott Senior Citizens. She was a past member of the Union Business Women's Association. Angela was tne by year old widow, ol Kobert i Zappert, Ph.D. They were married on July 22, 1939 in Binghamton and lived as husband and wile tor 33 years until his death, in 1972. They met in Vienna, Austria were she was born and he had been raised. Angela is survived by her sister, Lilli Schneider, Binghamton; her daughter, Alice Bonis, Newton, Mass I her son and daughter-in-law, Fred Zappert, PhD and Larame T. Zappert, i.

Fh.D, Atherton, her grandchil i dren, Dean and Lori Bonis, Framing ham, William and Dawn (Bonis) Woods, Newton, Michael Zappert and Laurel Zappert, Atherton; her nephew, Leonard Schneider and wile, Susan her niece, Lucille Verbit, Bing hamton. Angela was the great grand i mother of Devon and Morgan Woods I and the great aunt of Loren Werner Svetvilas, Lisa Werner and Heather Schneider. Angela Zappert is perhaps best known by several generations of Binghamtonians as the owner and co-opcrator of Angela's Optical. Keep-', ing a close touch on fashion trends and customer needs in the eyewear business earned her a loyal patronage for the 40 years that she and her sister Lil operated their store, first at Philadel- phia Sales and then on Front St. Angela and Lilli acquired this trade from their parents while still in Vienna.

Angela completed a six year training program as an apprentice and then as a Journeyman, and became the first woman admitted to the Opticians Guild of Vienna. She was a founding member of Temple Concord and Past President of the Business Professional Chapter or Hadassah. She was active in Ouota Club, the Jewish Community Center and the Oct-1 ogcther-Club, which was a support group for immigrants to the binghamton area displaced by WW II. Angela was well loved and will be dearly missed by her family as well as her many friends here and abroad. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 10:30 a.m.

Ronald F. Crumm J5 of Johnson City Ronald F. Crumm, 89, passed away "fsurrounded by his family and special friends on Wednesday, September 27, 1 2000 at the Wilson Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary R. fCrumm, Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Stella I Jackson, Johnson City; grandson and wife, Ronald and Maria Jackson, Phoenix, and also several nieces jand nephews.

He was a member of the jSarah Jane Johnson United Methodist jChurch, a retiree of the Endicott I Johnson a veteran of WWII and member of the Frank A. I Hunter T. Scott I of Binghamton I Hunter T. Scott, Binghamton, went to 'be with his brother Dylan, in Heaven on September 28, 2000, at the Bing-Jhamton General Hospital. Hunter was -born on October 13, 1999, to Bradley and Christy Scott. Hunter is also survived by grandparents, Polly and "Tim Bunsic, Mark Scott and Linda Yost, Duane and Barbara Travis; Zgreat-grandparents, Charlotte and "Barney Quick, George and Kay Scott, Oleita Travis; his aunt, Danielle and SMichael Ambrose, Uncle Jon and Keri Merritt; cousins, Luke and Michaela Ambrose, Zach and Shelbie Merritt; also several great-aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his friend and significant other, Barbara Colley, 7 Day Endicott; his extended family, Kim and Carl Coates, Scott and Lina Molyncaux; granddaughters, Sa brina Molyncaux and Rachel Coates; his mother, Rose Libertore, Mes his son, Thomas K.

Sbarra and grandson, Justin Sbarra, Endwell; his sister, Helen Bennett, Mesa, Ariz several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; his special friends, Don Suk-loff, Angelo Romas, Rudy Kotsubka Linda and George Herriek, and Ann Schlecel. He was a self employed realtor in the triple cities area for over 40 years and served on the Broome County Realtors Board of Directors. To know Nick was to love Nick. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Her husband, Darl Robinson, predeceased her in iy9U. Surviving are three sons Lester Robinson, Binghamton, N.Y., bred Robinson and wife Wanda Hallstead, Ted Robinson and wife Melody, Windsor, N.Y-.; four daughters, Joyce Schaffer, Boise, Idaho Beverly Jones and husband James, Pineville, N.C., Sharon Scott and George, Binghamton, N.Y., Judy For tune and Don. Windsor, N.Y 26 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchil dren. She was predeceased by a son William and two daughters, Darlene and Louise. Eva was a retiree from Endicott-Johnson.

Farrugia of Binghamton Lillie M. Farrueia, 93, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 29 2000 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Farrugia on April 10, 1996. She is survived by her children: John and Hilda Carpenter, Haines City, Frank and Carolyn Farugia, Binghamton, Maria and Rob ert Kutz, Binghamton; two grandchildren, Roger and Karen Carpenter, Binghamton, Barbara and Daniel Al- bertson, Springville, also several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Azel Carpenter, Zephyrhills, Robert Frazer, North Carolina; one sister, Mary Austin, Belmont, NY; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Antonio and Sara Farruggia, Frank Zaccaria, all of Chicago, III; also several nieces and nephews. She was a 55 year member of First Presbyterian Church.

She also served as a Deacon and a member of the Tappan Circle, Service Circle and Gulliver Humphrey Circle. She was a longtime volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and a member of the Golden Days Adult Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at 10 a.m. at the James V. DeMarco Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Port Dickinson followed at 11 a.m.

Jack Allen Breck, Sr. of Endwell Jack Allen Breck, 83, of the Marion Apartments, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2000, at Willow Point Nursing Home, Vestal. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Gladys Breck; wife, Alice M. Breck; daughter, Barbara Addison; son, James G.

Breck; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Frank Dow. He is survived by son. Jack A. Breck, Jr. and his wife, Diane and their daughters, Jennifer and Amanda; son, Thomas A.

Breck; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Brenda Breck and their sons, Trevor, Ryan and Ronald, daughter, Linda A. Breck and Leonard Vandermark; son and daughter-in-law, Loren and Lanette Breck and their children, Brian, Lee, Corey and Emily; son, Gregory B. Breck; son-in-law, Donald Addison; brother and sister-in-law, G. Allen Breck, Jr.

and his wife, Diane and their children, Christopher and Lane; a nephew, Charles Dunham and his wife, Mary. Jack served his country during WWII, in both the United States Army and Navy. He was employed by the Press Sun Bulletin for 36 years. He was a member of the Masons. His passion was talking politics and baseball.

Funeral and committal services will be held at 1 1 a.m. Monday at the Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Greene. Rev. William G. McCall, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Greene will officiate.

There will no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Oxftird. fully at home September 29, 2(MK), at the age of 82. She was bom April 16, 1918" to Edna and Cleve Gupton, in Oxford, Nebraska.

She spent her first 1 8 years in Nebraska. She graduated lrom Uxlord High school in 130 where she was Valedictorian, editor of the high school newspaper and yearbook. She graduated from Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri, in 1938 where she was editor of the college newspaper, Stephens Lite Contmu ing her education, she graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 194U, where she reported for the "Columbia Missourian" Newspaper and was assistant editor of the Humor Magazine Snowme she was also a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Coming to New York City during the war years, she worked briefly in secretarial jobs at the Limited Editions Club and Martex Co. On September 28, 1940 she married Bruce McCulloch in Larchmont, New York.

They moved to a small dairy farm near Deposit, N.Y. Three years later, they sold the farm and Bruce McCulloch enlisted in the Air Force, stationed in Denver, Colo. Lucile McCulloch, with two small sons, returned to Nebraska to live near her parents for the duration of the war. When the war ended in 1946. they remained in Nebraska another four years, where Bruce McCulloch worked with his father-in-law in a Chevrolet dealership.

A daughter and third son where born in Nebraska. After the death of Lucile's mother in 1950, they moved back to New York Slate, settling on a large dairy farm outside Whitney Point, a fifth and last child was born in December. Integrating into the community, Lucile immediately met the old editor of the "Whitney Point Charlie Branday and promised a weekly humor column on neighbors and friends. She also wrole humorous advertising for the Joe "Kiley" clothing store. She became active in the schools, in the PTA, in the First United Methodist Church Wom en's Group, in the Sunday school and numerous farm groups.

She substitute taught in the High Schools during the 60's, served on the Board of Cooperative Extension, is Past President of the Shakespeare Club in Whitney Poinl and a member of Monday Afternoon Club in Binghamton. Sne is also a member of O.E.S. Chapter NO. 531 of Whitney Point. She organized and ran (with the help of Eleanor Goodnough) the first Ballroom Dancing Class at the W.P.

High School. Burr Harrington of Greene, instructor. Lucile, along with John Rugg, organized and raised money for the first high school exchange student program to South America. Her daughter, Hope, was the first pioneer student to go. Since then, Whitney Point has exchanged many students.

Business skills overtook Journalism in 1962 when Lucile McCulloch planned and had built, the first real apartment house in Whitney Point. Two other buildings followed, now owned and run by son, Bert McCulloch. But, in 1973, when her husband Bruce McCulloch was killed by a Holstein Bull on their dairy farm, her life abruptly change course again. The five children were grown and through college. She sold the family farm to her eldest son, Hugh and built a small house next door.

She went to work for Decker Real Estate, writing advertising. In 1980 she met A. Burr Craft, a new widower, and she was assigned to help sell his estate. The chance meeting turned out to be fortunate for both. On April 18, 1981, Lucile and A.

Burr Craft were married in Greene, N.Y. Mr. Craft, owner of Hansmann's Mills in Bainbridge, sold his business in 1991 and his retired. Preceding Lucile McCulloch Craft in death was her first husband, Bruce McCulloch; her parents, Edna and Cleve Gupton; a stepmother, Ila Gup ton; her sister, Vernelle Hazier. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bragaglia. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joanne and John Tarbox and Emma and Gary Holmes, Endwell, Antoinette (Ann) Bragaglia and her special friend, Rick Ros, Endicott; her grandchildren, Jessica and Anthony Holmes, Jcnni and John Tarbox; one brother, two sisters, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special aunt, all residing in Italy. Maria emmigrated lo the United Stales from Italy.

She worked for Endicott Johnson Corp. for over 35 years. She came to America for a better life, and passed her strong work ethics and family values down to her children and grandchildren who were the love of her life. She was known for her incredible garden and her delicious cooking. She was a member of St.

Anthony of Padua Church where she was an enthusiastic volunteer for all church and school activities. Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the St. Ann's Society, the Addoloraia Society, the Nocturnal Addorartion Society, and a member of the Rosary Group at Willow Point Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, 9 a.m., from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, 1905 Watson Endicott, and at 9:30 a.m.

Benjamin, of Bonita Springs, Endicott, and Deposit, N.Y. passed away September 10, 2000, in Bonita Springs. Glen was born in Gilboa, N.Y. May 2, 1917, son of Mary and Robert C. Benjamin, Sr.

He worked for IBM for 34 years, retiring in 1975. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs and formerly First United Methodist Church of Endicott. He was an avid wood carver. Mr. Benjamin was predeceased by his parents: three sisters, Ella Clark, Helen Ives, Eva McGee; and two brothers, Parker and Douglas Benjamin.

Glen is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty; three sons, Dr. Glenn Benjamin, Calistoga, Dr. Keith Benjamin and wife, Julie, Noxen, Dr. Scott Benjamin and wife, Marie, Hancock, N.Y.; four grandchildren. Dr.

Beth, Shawn, Amy and Erica. His memorial service will be Saturday, October 7, 2000, at First United Methodist Church, 58 McKinley Endicott, at 1 1 a.m., with the Rev. Jan Marsi and the Rev. W. Lea Harding, officiating.

Patricia Brainard, 51, of RD3, Susquehanna, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2000, at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, Pa. after an illness. She was predeceased by an infant baby girl; her mother, Jean Whitney McNamara; and a sister, Beatrice McNamara Rockwell. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ronald Brainard; one daughter, Paula Brainard and Adam Briggs, Harford, one son, Brian Brainard and Dawn Geiser, North Jackson, her father, Paul McNamara, RD 1, New Milford. three sisters, Roberta Houlihan, RD 1, New Milford, Kathy Borowicz, RD 1, Susquehanna, Peggy Doran, RD 1, New Milford, her special granddaughter, Katelyn Briggs whom she loved dearly and was the apple of her eye.

Patricia was a loving wife and devoted mother, who enjoyed being with her family, her home and doing her daily activities. She was employed at Barnes Kasson County Hospital in Susquehanna, where she was manager of the Purchasing Department for 20 years before retiring due to her illness. She was a Democratic Committee Women, District Chair Person. Patricia was brave and courageous during her battle with her illness right through to the end. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2000, at 1 1 a.m.

at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Susquehanna, Pa. with the Rev. David Schnaars officiating. Burial ill be in the North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
