Enoch McCarty was a delegate to the constitutional convention in 1S16. Other signers of the 1805 petition follow: William Arnet entered his land, Dec. 27, 1804, in Brookville township. William Flood, another signer, had entered no land in 1804 and 1805, but his name is listed among the 467 persons who paid taxes in Franklin county in 1811. George Leviston, a native of Ireland, arrived in South Carolina before the Revolutionary War.
