The sanctuary of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church was the setting for the evening wedding July 30 of Mary Margaret Goodman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Flournoy Goodman Jr. and Daniel Howard Richards, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William Marion Richards of Abingdon, Va. The Rev. Clay Lee, senior pastor at Galloway, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Prior to the service Mrs. John Sigman presented a pro-gram of organ music.

Vocalist, Mrs. James K. Child, soprano, sang "Be Thou With Them" by Bach and Mozart's The couple exchange vows before an altar which was vested in white hangings. Enhancing the pulpit area was a massive flower arrangement created by Mrs. Albert Lamar.

A pair of floor standing brass candlesticks flanked the flowers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of white embroidered English net. Schif-fli embroidery fashioned the fitted bodice with its portrait neckline and short puffed sleeves. The controlled A-line skirt and full chapel train of embroidered English net ended in a deep border of scalloped Schiffli. Her fingertip veil of imported silk illusion, edged with satin ribbon, fell from a band of silk flowers and Schiffli embroidery matching that on her bridal gown.

She carried a bouquet of white roses, bridal pink roses, lilies and miniature orchids. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. Clifford Barnes Ammons of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Mrs. William Flourney Goodman III, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Lisa Margaret Lee of Jackson; Miss Catherine Anne Hamrick of Birmingham, Miss Gwendolyn Ann Crane of New Orleans, and Mrs.

William Frank Appleby of Evanston, The attendants wore formal gowns of aqua voile and carried cascades of lilies, daisies and snapdragons. William Marion Richards served his son as best man. Groomsmen were William 0. Johnson of Scottsboro, Paul L. Kellum of Tupelo; Philip Maples of Meridian; and Clifford Barnes Amnions' and William Flournoy Goodman III, both of Jackson.

The reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the home of the bride. The buffet table, sheltered by a yellow and white striped tent, was overlaid with a white banquet cloth and held an oversized arrangement of lilies, agapantha, Gerbera daisies and snapdragons. The bride's table, featuring a four-tiered wedding cake embellished with spun sugar roses, was placed on the patio. Punch from an ice sculpture punch bowl was served by the pool. Tables on the lawn were covered with ruffled white organdy cloths.

A musical trio played out of doors. Miss Edith McDaniel provided piano music inside. A rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walton Greene Owens.
