PULSE TVDVD TIVO SURF NOTHING PERSONAL 10 PM WEDNESDAY ID Hit jobs get the re-enactment treatment 16 03.09.11 bthesite com free daily jordan bartel e-mail: twitter: As much as we love author Michael Chabon Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and a bit skeptical about his latest project. Variety reports that Chabon and his wife, Ayelet Waldman, are in the early stages of developing a show for HBO called a description and brace yourself: The show around a motley group of con men and magicians who use their skills at deception to battle Hitler and his forces during Because the just in early development, it may never see the light of day. And though it sounds far-fetched (we repeat: magicians fighting Hitler), we want to have faith that the always-awesome Chabon will pull it off. One request: Make the magicians less David Blaine, more Gob from JORDAN BARTEL, PEE-WEE ON 11 PM WEDNESDAY TBS Late night gets a visit from longtime comedian Pee-wee Herman (Paul Reubens) when the bow-tied one visits The return of Pee-wee Herman is due to the airing of his Broadway production of Peewee Herman on HBO (March 19) set to bring childhood favorites such as Mailman Mike, Cow boy Curtis and Miss Yvonne back to TV. Three decades after the original debut of his show, Reubens is back with his red bow tie, gray suit and secret word.

METROMIX. COM REASON TO WATCH: True-crime tropes, with wiseguy attitude WHAT ABOUT: Steve Schirripa played Bobby Bac calieri, the amiable bodyguard, on so he knows from lowlife losers and would-be hit men. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native serves as producer of this reality re-enactment of murders for hire. But more important, the narrator, where his likable persona fortifies lines such as were not exactly A-listers. More like in next hour about half-wit hit jobs in Hollywood.

This premiere episode treads more predictable mob-land territory. Flashy young wannabe Larry Carrozza overreaches in New Colombo crime family, which can only mean one thing: gonna get popped. That tale at least has testimony from the guy who pulled the trigger, Miciotta. Next Hollywood melodrama does it in more typical TV true-crime style, piecing together the timeline on a movie production murder by talking to his bar-lizard buds who engineered the deed, plus the prosecutor and detectives. THE LOWDOWN: As the depicted participants heard, up to Schirripa to supply enough oomph to keep us awake, and adept at that.

With his guy-next-door appeal, he sells narration that should be corny or even cringe-worthy. Next Hollywood crime scene is overstuffed with showbiz puns and allusions. only confusing when Schirripa speaks from the time frame of the 1988 murder about the soon-to-be crew victim: bad that movie is stuck in development. If he was on that one, he might know what his Spidey senses are Um, OK. BOTTOM LINE: a pleasing presence.

But seen this stuff before. MCCLATCHY-TRIBUNE MR. NSHINE Crystal dislikes an ice-dancing group. I have a lot in common with Crystal. CAR SCIENCE SPEED How to do a perfect 180-degree turn.

Prepare to impress people in a parking lot! ALI 10-11 ANIMAL PLANET A teen is stung by hundreds of fire ants, which I believe is a pretty standard hazard of puberty. NOT TV, WHAT THE HELL? BEST GUEST OF THE WEEK THAN GETTY teve schirripa ant a ail. a problem with tha THAN ID.
