On Friday, board members adopted both a zoning ordinance and subdivision control ordinance. Terms of the ordinance will be followed for establishment of new homes and buildings within the town's bounda Madison-Grant Honor Students Announced YORKTOWN The Yorktown Band Boosters general meeting will be held Tuesday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the band room at the high school. Installation of the new officers will be conducted.

Plans will be discussed for the 500-mile Festival Parade and the Armed Forces parade. All parents are urged to attend. NEW CASTLE Rep. Phil Sharp's mobile office will be in New Castle on the Courthouse square Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., and in Mount Summit in the business district from p.m. The office will be manned by a member of the congressman's staff.

KNIGHTSTOWN Graduation ceremonies for Knightstown Head Start youngsters will be May 11 at 7 p.m. at Sunset Park Shelter House. The last day of this Head Start season, prior to graduation at 7 p.m., will be a trip by the children to the farm home of Ruth Camp-ton, head cook, followed by a cookout in Park. WILKINSON At a hearing prior to the May 2 Eastern Hancock School Board meeting, the board passed a motion to approve an additional appropriation of $120,000 to be transferred from the cumulative building fund to the construction fund.

The board took under advisement until May 16 the request of Gary Smith, band director, and Denise Dennis, flag corps coach, to implement a junior high flag corps for football games and summer marching. SHIRLEY William Beauchat, pastor of Shirley Nazarene Church, was appointed April 18 to the Shirley Town Board seat formerly held by Tilden Lipp, who died in February. The appointment to the South ward seat, and the swearing in, took place at a special morning meeting for which advance notice was given in the town, according to an April 28 statement by Melvin He- drick, board president. ALBANY An executive meeting for the Albany Town Board has been scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the town hall.

The board will discuss economic development for the town of Albany, according to Carolyn Miller, clerk-treasurer. UNION CITY Lisa Anne Higgins, 15. daughter of Mrs. Marilyn Murphy and Larry L. Higgins, Union City, has been selected as a finalist in the 1978 Indiana United Teenager Pageant to be held July 7-9 at Indianapolis.

The pageant is the official statewide finals of the United Teenager Pageant to be held in December in Washington. WINCHESTER May 15 is the deadline for 4-H members to turn in their livestock enrollment sheets. This is for pigs, sheep, poultry, rabbits, horses, ponies and dairy and beef heifer calves. Enrollment sheets may be obtained from local 4-H leaders or at the Extension office in the Marsym Shopping Center in Winchester. UNION CITY Reservations must be in by May 10 for the Wayne Alumni banquet at 6:30 p.m.
