BEST BETS 5:05 p.m. on TBS Auto Racing Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., has been good to Jeff Gordon. His first career NASCAR win came at the 1.5-mile track back in 1994, and now Gordon returns to defend his Winston Cup Coca-Cola 600 title, a race he's won three times previously. Gordon's maneuvering on the track and in the pits enabled him to beat Rusty Wallace last year, passing him on lap 391 of 400. A caution flag on lap 379 proved instrumental, giving Gordon time to change four tires; and he eventually passed Wallace for good.

6 p.m. on ABC Movie: Dogmatic We've had movies in which parents and kids, husbands and wives, and perfect strangers switch bodies. This comedy-fantasy puts another twist on the story. An adman (Michael Riley) is struck by lightning while walking his dog and ends up in the body of his canine companion. In this altered state, the pair sniffs out a sleazy secret about the ad agency's biggest client (David Leisure), a trained-dog dealer.

Leila Kenzle also stars. 8 p.m. on CBS Movie: A Match Made in Heaven Olympia Dukakis plays a seriously ill woman determined to play matchmaker for her bachelor son (John Stamos), a divorce lawyer whose job has made him cynical about marriage. Despite the protests of her housekeeper (Della Reese) and friends, she sets him up on a blind date with her nurse (Kelly Rowan). Estelle Getty also stars in this 1997 made-for-TV drama.

8 p.m. on NBC Movie: Thanks of a Grateful Nation Ted Danson plays a Vietnam veteran who takes a temporary job as an aide to a U.S. senator (Brian Dennehy) in this two-part 1998 TV movie. During his tenure, he is privy to an avalanche of complaints from Gulf War veterans and their families about possible chemical exposure suffered during their service. Steven Weber, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Marg Helgenberger and Matt Keeslar co-star as some of those affected.

Part 2 airs Monday. Michael Riley in Dogmatic 10 a.m. on ABC Indianapolis 500 "Gentlemen, start your engines" can only mean one thing in May: It's time for the Indianapolis 500. The 83rd running of the historic race features the close of a historic career. Two-time Indy winner Arie Luyendyk plans to retire following the race.

He'd love to go out on top, but drivers such as Scott Goodyear (twice a runner-up at Indy) and defending champion Eddie Cheever Jr. present a formidable challenge.
