Hardens will be complimented with a morning coffee by Mrs. S. Robertson and Mrs. L. L.

Daviet at the Daviet home on Hess Terrace from 10 until 12 tomorrow morning. Mrs. Spencer Bardens, the Miss Ruth Hooker, returned here this year after having lived for some twelve years in China. Mrs. F.

J. Bardens, who had lived in the Orient for more than 30 years, accompanied her daughter- in-law, here, to make her home until civil matters are straightened out in China. Receiving the guests will be Mrs. Mrs. Robertson and the lonoreea.

From a lace-covered table, centered with a sliver, bowl of African daisies nnd flanked with silver candles, coffee will be served. Presiding at the coffee urns in alternating periods will be Mrs. Dean Stahmann, Miss Helen Rooker, Mrs. Ernst Artschwager, and Mrs. Numa C.

iris Learn About Meals at' Markets Members of the Home-making 'wo classes at the Las Cruces Unon high school were divided into groups today and visited a num- ier of the local meat markets. The purpose of the trip was to acquaint the girls with various of meat and their uses. Many if the girls were especially inter- isted in learning names of the cuts, and from what part of the animal they are taken, as well as economical cuts and how to prepare them. Next week girls will specialize cooking meats in dinners, preparing, learning to serve them at- iractively, economically and palatably. The girls decided to prepare theii dinners during" the noon hour; since classes meet at one hour periods In this way, they have a well- balanced hot noon meal in place of the cold lunch brought from home.

After the meal is prepared and kitchen put in order, the giris are allowed freedom that they ivould otherwise have had during the noon hour. The girls expressed their appreciation to Dutch's Meat Market and Thrift's Market for their patience in aiding them in today's lesson. Miss Kathcrine Dicks and Vera Randle accompanied them on the trip.
