Hartford City, I)c. 18 The Democrats of Hlackford and Wella counties will vote In a Joint primary January 13 to decide between men who are seeking to represent the parly as Judne of the Circuit court of the tnenty-nlKhth Judicial circuit, comprised of the two counties. The nomination Is equivalent to an election, hence the sharp contest to determine who shall tie the party's candldutn, This la the first time In the history of the district that a joint primary has been held, Hlackford county, heretorfore having no voice whatever in the selection of the party's nominee. By precedent Wella county has always named the candidate for prosecuting attorney. Sturgla. who la on the bench at the present time serving his first term; the Hon W. 11. Ktchhorn, and the Hon. Oeorsre Mock, son of ex-Judsre Levi Mock.

All the candidates are residents of Uluffton. Hlackford county furnishes the candidate for prosecutor. He Is ex-l'iiy Attorney Lee F. Sprague. a former resident of Wella county.

He has no opposition. Mr. Sprague Is a diminutive disciple of Btackstone. but his smallnei applies only to stature and not to his ability aa a lawyer. If elected, and there Is every reason to belle he VIII be, he will have the distinction of being the simallest prosecutor from the next smallest county In ho utate.
