David SportsVue cutting staff by one third MILWAUKEE (AP) SportsVue, the all-sports cable network jointly owned by the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Brewers, plans to reduce its staff by a third within the next few weeks, its legal counsel says. Joe O'Neill also said the network might suspend publication of its monthly magazine with the February issue. "It's been rough. It's been tough," he said. "There hasn't been much change (in the number of subscribers). We're trying to figure out a way to posture this product in the marketplace." O'Neill said the network, which went on the air last April, has about 16,400 subscribers. It televises some Marquette and University of Wisconsin basketball, and Wisconsin and Milwaukee Admiral hockey as well as Bucks and Brewer games, in addition to some other events. O'Neill, who stepped down as .president of SportsVue Jan. 15, said no decision has been made on who on the 13-person staff will be let go. SportsVue was described as ah "event-oriented" service by O'Neill, saying that was forgotten by those who complain that the network has shown only 170 events since going on the air. "We're not trying to be ESPN," he said. "We're not a 24-hour-a-day service. We never intended that. When we have an event we want to show, we'll show it. " Lee earns soccer letter at Mt.
