Nampa "WOMEN H WAR" In World War One, we took a man's place As Conducloreltes we rode the rails, We worked by flay and through the night, We women held our Country's light. In World War Two, we did the same, We carried our Hag, the Red, White and Blue; Men suffered and died (or dS to live, They gave their life, all Ihey had to give. World War Three-Vietnam, Lord let victory be. A child will pray for Daddy to come home, And women pray for sons so far away. Let us have more than a Purple Heart one day. Tim Brennan, director ot the Idaho Retailers' Assoclatlon.saysthe phase out of the inventory tax brought a "business expansion" to Idaho. Brennan said Asgrow Seed Company plans a new $15,000 warehouse near Twin Fails because of Hie repeal of the inventory lax, and Rogers Brothers of Idaho Falls said it will move its Pocalello warehouseto Utah if the phase out is repealed, The Retailers' Association was one ol the biggest lobbying voices for the phase out of the inventory tax in ihe winter legislature. The phase out begins Jan, 1 and will wipe oul the tax on inventories, livestock and certain farm produces in five years. The inventory tax colleclions, which tad gone to local governments, will be replaced by sales tax revenue. "As a result of the improved tax climale, we will have continued increased investment in real property, increased income, increased t u r n ot money, which means a broader lax base and more property lax, income tax and sales tax revenue," Brennan told a Boise civic club, "The invenlory tax is a tax thai never should have existed in the first place, Brennan said.
