16 GREELEYColo.) TRIBUNE Frl.,Jun( 3,1977 NBC fops ratings for third week in fast four NEW YORK (DPI) - NBC was the good news network in the latest national Nielsen ratings, while CBS might have had a disquieting qualm. ABC is just sitting back and waiting for next year. One piece of good news for NBC was that it led in the Nielsens for the week ending May 29, making it No. 1 for three of the last four weeks. That doesn't make up for a dismal year, but it's encouraging. Even more encouraging was the showing that one of NBC's new shows for fall maiie with the airing of its pilot May 23. That was "Rosetti and Ryan," a good-humored, lawyer-crime show that ranked No. 2 in the week's ratings.(First place went to old pros Jimmy Stewart- and Henry Fonda in the television showing of a theatrical movie, "The Cheyenne Social Club.") NBC also has announced a new show, 'The KaUikaks," a half-hour comedy that will debut in August, with five more episodes under order, to make it available as a. possible "second season" replacement. Pro: It was created by Stanley Ralph Ross and Roger Price. Price is that funny man who invented Droodles. Con: It is the story of a Southern family operating a decrepit .two-pump gas station in the middle of Nowhere, Calif. The importance of programming was underlined again last week in the Nielsen's when "MA-S-H" was pushed up half an hour to 8:30 p.m., Eastern time, to make way for "Cheyenne Social Club." The show has been in the top 10 most weeks this season.
