I took a scrap of material (double thickness) and made samples from each of my templates and made sample buttonholes cutting each one open so 1 coulc see it a bullon fit! This way . . 1 can take the old bullon anc un it through the "slit" to sec if I have the right plate on my sewing machine. I keep the sample cloth in my buttonhole attachment box am when I need to test' a button to see if it will go through z hole . it's right there. I.never "mess" a garment up any more.
