If they had, they would have grown so interested in the hardware and housewares that they would have never fallen in love and Shakespeare would have ended up writing detective novels. TV cameras to watch Cleveland CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) Mayor Ralph Perk's capital improvements program includes funds for buying 14 infrared television cameras with zoom lenses to keep an eye on downtown Cleveland. The cameras, which would be hooked to a monitoring center at Central Police Station, were listed in the $21-million improvements program introduced at Monday night's City Council meeting. About $600,000 worth of equipment was listed. A city official said use of a similar system in the University Circle area had cut violent crimes there in half. CHICAGO -- The average U. S. ordinary life insurance policy now has a face value of $6,450, compared witli an average of $6,100 a year ago. The balcony, encompassing 1,200 square feet, is the latest addition to Stockfleth's hardware store which has been a fixture of the Hillside Shopping Center since it opened in 1958. Stockfleth, who has been in the Greeley hardware business since 1954, said that when he first opened Ihe Hillside store, he had only one employee besides himself. Now, the store has seven full-time employees. The 69-year old Stockfleth has suffered both a broken hip and a heart attack in the past 18 months. Still, he manages to work in the store regularly, though he can no longer work full time. Before moving to the Hillside location, Stockfleth had a hardware store in downtown Greeley for Ihree and a half years. Prior lo moving to Greeley, he had been in the oil business in Chadron, Neb., for 14 years. The balcony, completed in August, is just Ihe most recent expansion in the Hillside store. The original store encompassed 2,800 square feet while the present store has 5,200 square feet, nearly twice as much. Those 5,200 square feet are jam-packed with everything imaginable for Ihe home, from paint to plumbing fixtures to pots and pans lo mils and bolls.
