4C Obituaries Mrs. Ruby Lee Stewart Ware Mrs. Ruby Lee Stewart Ware, 61, of Magee, died Thursday, Jan. 17, at Miss. Baptist Medical Center.

The Smith County native was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee with Rev. Charles Ray Burnham, Rev. Ray Fuller, and Rev.

Wardell Kennedy officiating. Mims Mitchell of Magee was in charge of arrangements, and burial was at Dry Creek Cemetery. Survivors include husband, Mr. Mitchell Ware, of Magee, and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Murrell, vice president for academic affairs, 'provides graduates and employers a warranty that specifies that if a graduate is unable to perform at a satisfactory level of proficiency for a first-year employee, the student may return to MUW, at no instructional cost, to take additional course work or receive other types of assistance in improving effectiveness in the areas of deficiency." Course fees for students taking advantages of the new program will be paid by the MUW Foundation. The Educational Warranty Program is one of several steps being taken by MUW to insure the quality of educational programs.

The is raising its admissions standards from 15 to 18 at one point a year and is strengthening the core curriculum by adding 24 additional hours to liberal arts requirements "to insure that our graduates are well-educated individuals," Dr. James T. Murrell, vice president of academic affairs said. The Educational Warranty Program is the first of its kind in the state. Several schools in other parts of the country have similar programs limited to teacher education, but even a smaller number in: itiate the program on a campus: wide basis.
