Although he was apparently dead, the doctor used a plastic lube end revived the chiM in less than a minute.

After 10 days in Weld County General hospital with pneumonia, Vernon is home recovering satisfactorily. He is Ihc second of the three children of Mr. ami Mrs. Fred Paul, farmers living a mile west ot Evans. The day before he was stricken, Vernon played happily, his molhcr said.

That night he developed alarming symptoms and a high fever. Prior to his arrival at the doctor's office he had a temperature of 106.4 antl a convulsion. Besides his parents, Vernon's sisters, Audrey, 9, anrl iris, 2, arc more than glad to have him home again. The illness which led her lo resign the post was attributed lo inhsialion of arsenic dust from the painted ceiling ot her bedroom in an old villa which was her resi dence. Since her recovery, she has made numerous speeches on foreign affairs and has carried out several diplomatic missions for President Eisenhower. Mrs. Gladys M. Reel, 68, of 829 Ih died Thursday morning at Veld County General hospital, ijhs had resided in Greelcy for many cars, Mrs.

Heel was a talented organist and supporter of music. She played ho organ at the Uniled Presbyterian church some years ago. She was an active member of the irst Baptist church and the or- lanizations within the lad played the organ for the Sun- lay School and for other church unctions through the years. Reel also belonged to the Townsend club. She was born Jan.

and Mrs. Helen Franscn of Greeley; two grandchildren; and three brothers and two sisters, Lee Twist ol Bell, Ralph and Worth Twist and Mrs. Dorothy McDonald, all Denver, and Mrs. Kthelyn Whitney of Colorado Springs. A brother.

'AP) Abncr (Longie) Zwillman, 51, who amassed a fortune as a bootlegger and later became the target of several crime probes, was found hanged Thurs. in his 20-room man slon. Zwillman's stepson, John Steinbach, told newsmen the prohibition era figure had been depressed since a Senate committee began delvinf into the coin-machine industry. Although linked with rackets by various law enforcement agencies and officials for. years, Zwillman served only a single prison sentence--six months for assault and battery in 1928. Last week a grand jury indicted several persons in connection with alleged bribing of jurors on the deadlocked panel that tried Zwill- man for income lax evasion in 1956.
