2. That the County and the City have heretofore agreed to cooperate and participate in the improvement of said Main Strcot by grading, draining and paving the same with Portland Cement con- ci ele pavement upon the terms conditions hereinafter set forth. 3. That the City has adopted a Resolution and plans to construct upon said Main Street a Portland cement concrete pavement seven inches thick as reccommended by Buell Winter, Engineers, which firm been employed by City for the project, and having a width of thirty-six (36) feet, from back to back of tihe curbs, and has requested the County to pay as its share of the cost, the amount of the contract price from the concrete pavement upon the cen- twenty-eight (28) feet of said concrete slab at the unit price thereof as determined by the pubIk: letting of the contract for said improvement, and that tihe County's participattion shall be limited to the cost said (28) foot width of the entire length from the north edge of the pavement slab upon Main Street extending- north-ward to the corporate limits of Rock Valley. 4.

Thai the said project and the participation Uhen-jn by the County will be included in the ondary construction program of Sioux County, for the year 1955 and that said program will be presented for approval to the Iowa State Highway CxmmisMon ami its engineers. That Sioux Counity, Iowa, yhall make payment of siharc of the cost of said pro jet out of the secondaiy road construction fund of said County, 0. That the plam and the fications for the said street improvement and the contract form shall be prepared by the engineers for the city and shall he subject to the approval thereof by the Board of Supervisors of the County and by tihe Iowa State Highway Commission.

7. That the County agrees to pay the total cot of concrete pavement twenty-two (22) feet in width extending from the North coporate limits of Rock Valley on Main Street to a point about four hundred (400) north where a concrete bridge is located. The County agrees that the contract for its project beyond the corporate limits of the Town of Rock Valley and the cooperative project shall be let as a single contract but the county agrees to pay for all the construction including the engineering, the grading, draining and supervision of said construction taking place outside the corporate limits. 8. That the County shall make periodical payments upon the estimate and certificate of the engineer in charg-e of said project for the City as the work progresses in such amount and at such times as shall be convenient to the City and the payment for said project, but not in of the amount of work according to tihe and spmfu-ationes, from to time, and jtubjwt to a retention of ten per cent (10', to be hvld until satisfactory completion of the project.

9.
