The second night of the engagement the leading man Is called home by the death of his ife, there Is no one to fill his place and consternation reigns In the little band of actors and actresses; Anally It Is learned that tjie tramp has been an nctor, and furthermore, has played the hading part of the "Two Orphans" with Kate fluxion.

This Is the play (hey are to put this night. The tramp plays the part, meets the leading woman of the company, his former sweetheart. The complications that arise from the ground work to the plot of the greatest scenic comedy drama of recent years, Klmer Walters' "A Millionaire Tramp," The third act shows not alone the exterior of a country theater, but the Interior as well with the audience seated, curtain up and performance In progress, nnd the effect has never been accomplished heretofore. of Wny," in which Mr. Faversham is to stnr.

If the piece cannot be completed in time Mr. Frohmnn has another play up his sleeve for this actor's e. Humorist George Ade's meny satire, "The SultRn of Sulu," was so eminently successful that his "Peggy from Paris" is to be produced by Henry W. Savage during the early autumn. "The Sultan of Sulu" is a comic opera written in a satirical vein, while "Peggy from Paris" is a musical comedy.

The music of "Tha Sultan of Sulu" is by a young Chicago musician. Alfred G. Walthall, and that of "Peggy from Paris" is by William Loraine, whose "Salamm-bo" was one of the sought-for bits cf orchestration of its year. It is understood that in "Peggy from Paris" Mr. Ade has made use of considerable of the vernacular of the day, but at the same time he has upheld 'tis reputation as a satirist.

The cast is now being selected for the new musical comedy, and it is understood that some of the best people ln the musical comedy business are already under Mr. Savage's wing.
