Life in Mexico Rewording For George D.

Miller III Life in Mexico City has been very rewarding for Photographer George D. Miller III, former Albia resident. Since 1950 he has had a number of interesting jobs ill Mexico, one of which enabled him to travel through the northern part of the country. Miller graduated from Albia High School and attended the State University of Iowa before going into service during World War n. Due to an injury he received during the war, Miller was in and out of hospitals across the United States for nearly two years.

Several years after his release from the hospitals he was graduated from the American Institute for Foreign Trade at Phoenix, Ariz. He then was granted a drug assignment in northern Mexico through the Sterling Drug New York. He and a brother-in-law at one time were in the aluminum furniture manufacturing business (the firm still carries his and at present he is a successful photographer in the large American colony in Mexico City, specializing in children's pictures. He.does his his home, where he and his wife and four chidlren live, but does all the work in homes, for he likes to take the pictures in familiar and natural surroundings. Photography has always" been more or less a hobby with Miller, having always had a dark room in his home to develop his own pictures.

Then, about two years ago, he decided to go into business for himself. His work, however, does not entirely revolve around the taking of children's pictures, for many business firms engage him for promotional advertising deals. Miller has taken an active part in civic affairs. He is a past commander of the Mexico City American Legion post and at present is adjutant of the Mexico City area Legion organization. He is als'o a member of the Episcopal Church there, where he teaches a Sunday school class.

Since being in Mexico City, he has attended the university there. He is the son of Mrs. George Miller of Albia and the late Mr. Miller, former Albia druggist. Effective Jan.
