H. Nelson, Mrs Johnson and Mrs C. S. Buron- IT'S DRIVE UP, WALK UP, BUT NOT "DRIVE THRU" We offer many, many services, and included in these are Drive Up and Walk Up banking, but NOT "Drive Thru." You may have seen our Community Room windows as a result of "Drive Thru" efforts, but our Community Room is still available and meetings will continue as before. We hope it will not cause you any inconvenience while being repaired.

Incidentally, the "Drive Thru" car was owned by a man named Glass. The Home State Bank offers many services, and we hope you will make use of any that will suit your needs. Use our Community Room as others have, or our convenient Drive Up and Walk Up facilities. We are here ready to serve you. -WHERE DTD I COME FROM?" ASKED THE BABY EAR OF CORN.

"THE STALK BROUGHT YOU," SAID MAMA. -We have customers who live close to the county line in all fou directions. Even those who live closer to Jefferson do not always find it handy to come to the bank. "Bank-bv-Mail" is the answer for that. We have special envelopes that will bring in your deposits and a return receipt which will be mailed back to you with another mail deposit envelope ready to use the next time.

Make it handy for yourself. Now, during harvest, when everyone is busy would be a good time to make use of handy "Bank by Mail" envelopes. Just say the word, and we'll help you get started. We pay the postage both ways, too. HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED (A True Story) Sam Thornton was in the other day and told us this story.

His hired man was plowing and the rolling colter on the plow broke and was plowed under. They looked for some time, and finally gave up and went to town and bought a new one --the cost $29.60. In 1917 Sam started farming and bought a brand new plow--the cost $55. -AH life is a change--when you are done changing you are done. HBN If you don't have a provable record of your farm expenses, your income tax bill will probably be higher than it should be higher, or more, for each $10.00 that you miss writing down.

You have several things to do "right away" when you get home, you know, and you will probably forget to stop and keep books. Be safe and sure--write a check for each deductible expense. It will save you some important dollars and a lot of work and worry. Checking accounts pay at the Home State Bank. I a I A eld prepared the exhibit talle.
