Bridge club held ita Christmas party at the home of Mr. and H. W. Dralle Sunday. A turkey dinner was served at noon to the members present.

Decorations included a decorated Christmas tree and the exchange of gifts was held. The afternoon was spent in play- Ins bridge and prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koerner and Mr. and Mrs.

Bert Pooley. Vae Louise Dralle. Rita Ann Dralle, Jane Hessel and Billy Hessel were guests of the club. Jolly-O Club Held Christmas Party Tuesday The Jolly-O club held its annual Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Ed Hildebrand last Tuesday, afternoon.

The Christmas theme was carrjed ouf in decorations. A Christmas dinner was served by the hostess to the members presenL Following the business meeting the exchange of gifts was held and Hildebrahd, who had charge of the program for the afternoon, read the story entitled "How Santa. A collection of clothes and wearing apparel to be sent to the suffering Europeans will be made at this meeting, and one wishing to contribute clothes is welcome to do so. H. Buchbolz. Methodist Church Society Held Election of Officers The "Woman's Society of Christian service of the Methodist church met at the home of Mrs. Bert WH- kins last Wednesday afternoon. The election of officers was held.

Those being elected include Mrs- Clyde Wegand as president- Mrs. Harry Marsh, vice-president, and Mrs. Alice Hansen will he treasurer. Mrs. Royal Hardman was elected recording secretary and Mrs.

Clyde Stuntz the corresponding secretary. Christmas Party Held by Twenty Club Last Night The Twenty club met at the home of Mrs. W. Langenhagen last night, for their annual Christmas party. "500" was played during the evening and the exchange of gifts was held.

High club score prize was won by Mrs. Laura Willey and second high prize was awarded to Mrs. Roy Taylor. Floating prize went to Mrs. Harry Shook and the second floating prize to Mrs.

Carl Stabenow. Visitor From California John C. Noble. of North Hoi California, arrived day for a visit in the home of Mrs. J.

C. Noble. and Billy. He was recently discharged from the United States navy, after 42 months aboard the TJ.S.S. North Carolina, In the south Pacific theater.

United Service Women to Send Christmas Gift to Members in Armed Forces The United Service women met at the home of Mrs. Frank Knight Monday afternoon. Following the business meeting the remainder of the afternoon was spent making and sewing book markers, which are requested articles from hospitals, and addressing Christmas cards, to service men who are still In the service aid to those who hare received discharges since the latter of March. Each Christmas greeting will hare inclosed a new one dollar hilL The money for the Christmas project was obtained from the service women tag sale which was held in July and the September fall festival The gold star pictures are also being enlarged and framed and will be placed in the public library. Frank Eisentrager of Dumont, became the bride of Harold Harms of Bristow, Thursday evening at 6:30 o'clock in the Dumont Evangelical church parsonage The Rev. W. D. Winter performed the double ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a teal blue wool alpcan dress, with black accessories and wore a corsage of American Beauty roses and white chrysanthemums.

Her only jewelry was a pearl necklace, a gift from the bridegroom Dorothy Eisentrager, sister of the hride, was Bridesmaid and wore a raspberry wool crepe dress, with black accessories- She wore corsage of white and yellow chrysanthemums. Melvin Sherman served as best man. After the ceremony, a tray lunch was served at 8:00 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, to the immediate relatives. The bride graduated from the Dumont high school with the class of 1942. The bridegroom has been employed on his father's farm near Bristow, where the couple will be at home.

Dec 15 Maxson Cleaners An Ideal Christmas Gift Annual Christmas Party of Cooperative Held Tuesday Night The Butler County Rural Electric co-operative held its annual Christmas party last evening in the American Legion hall at Allison, which was attended by nearly 90 persons, including the directors, reporters, line men and office personnel, their wives and husbands. 'A o'clock turkey dinner was the group. Table decorations were in Christmas colors, red tapers being used. At each cover stood a miniature Santa Claus, upon which had been, printed the program of the evening, and each Santa was pulling a sled upon which was a nut cop in the shape of a red rose.

A tree decorated with; colored lights further carried out the Christmas motif. Following the oinner, the guests joined in community singing. Cecil Layden of Ionia acted as toastmaster. E. N.

Neal of Shell Rock, president of the board of directors, responded with the toast, "The RJLA. of Yesterday;" Kenneth Lacy, manager of the Butler county co-operative, "The R.EA. of To-day;" while Dexter Smith, manager of the Federated Co-operative association, spoke of "The RJELA. of Tomorrow." Lund of Webster City, the attorney, addressed the group, and Emil Allison played SCT- eral numbers on his guitar. The last part of the program was "Truth and Consequences" and was conducted by an Allison reporter, Harry Wilder. Butler County Medical Society, Auxiliary Held Venison Dinner, Meeting -The Butler County Medical society and its auxiliary met in Allison Monday evening with Dr. and Mrs. F.
