Papadakes is the son of Mrs. George Papadakes. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Howlett and family visited Sunday afternoon in the Melvin Thompson home at Kanawha.

Dr. and Mrs. R. T. Evans went to Mason City, Monday, where Dr.

Evans attended an all-day dental meeting. In the evening they attended a banquet. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Howlett and family were Friday evening visitors in the Henry Seebeck home.

On March 3 Mrs. Stanley Nedvcd and son Jerry took Miss Sally Nedved to St. Paul, where she will work. Miss Nedved resigned her work at the First State Bank in Britt, having been employed there for the past two years. In St.

Paul she will stay at the home of her sister and husband, the George Habermaiers. Mr. and Mrs. William Olson and daughter returned last week from Lynwood, where they had gone to spend the winter months and do some sightseeing. They are living in the upstairs apartment at the Dr.

B. F. Denney residence. Pvt. Roger G.

Perkins is now stationed in Guam. He recently had landed in Korea and then was brought back to Guam. Sunday a gathering of relatives was held at the Harold Smith home at Clear Lake in honor of Morris Smith who was 84 years old the past week. Each family took food for dinner and at the noon hour all enjoyed a picnic together. A purse of silver was given to Mr.

The Friendly circle of the W. S. S. of the Methodist Chnrch held i breakfast at the Emil Kyhl home Wednesday that was -well Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. M. H. Petersen has resigned her position at the Senneff Buck law office. Mrs.

Robert Korneisel has been helping out at the office in the afternoons. Miss Grace Robinson has been employed there almost a year. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jordahl and Larry, of Thompson, and Mr.

and Mrs. Raymond VanRiper, Lake Mills, were Saturday evening callers at the Olaf Kloster home. The three ladies are sisters. Mr. and Mrs.

Ralph Smith and two sons visited at the Ray Doughan home Tuesday evening of last week. Pvt. Harlan Schroeder left Jlje States March 1 for Korea. During the time he and his wife wcp-e in California, they visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

C. A. Wilcox, Genevieve, Edna and Roger, of Lakota. Alfred Wilcox is employed by Mr. Olsen and his parents visited with him also.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schroeder, of Meservey, have been at the Henry Schroeder home for some time with his sister Ruby. iThcy; are planning to move to California Mr. and Mrs.

Henry Scliroeder who have been in California dur ing the winter, will return home i April. Mr. Schroeder has been working with a son in California doing maintenance and yard land scaping. Duane Michelson has moved the Wm. larson farm northeast Britt.

Allen Michelson, who lives in Crystal Lake, is farming south west of the lake. Cpl. Edward Schroeder was discharged from two years of service had been stationed at Coloiado Springs, helping train troops and also teaching at the army camp. He and his wife left for Manchester, Iowa, after a visit with his sister, Miss Ruby Schroeder, and brother Alfred and wife. Mrs.

A. A. Heftc is at Ankcny or the present, visiting at the Cenneth Hcftc home. Mr. Heftc recently had an appendectomy.

Merle Dalland and sons, and Elmer were Sunday dinner guests at the Ed. Bedford homo. The John Weiland family have moved from the Wesley vicinity to a farm near Whittemore. Mrs Mary Huff, who had recent surgery in a Mason City hospital, came to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Wciland, Monday, and will spend a week there.

Mr. and Mis Donald Palk and Jerry, of Rockwell, were Sunday afternoon visitors at the home of Mrs. Park's parents, the Carl Hampcs. Rev. James Adams is spending part of this week at the Nazarene camp grounds near DCS Momcs, helping with the building of a new tabernacle.

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Armstrong, of Des Moines, spent the week end at the parental H. C. Armstrong home.

The Dean Armstrongs recently relumed from a two weeks trip west, where they visited her mother, Mrs. J. D. Wolcott, at Redlands, Calif. The daughter and and her husband from Seattle, met the Armstrongs at Redlands.

Mrs. Ray Doughan and Shirley Ann visited Mrs. Gene Doughan and baby at the Municipal Hospital at Belmond, Saturday afternoon. Gene Goepel returned Saturday from a Mason City hospital where he had a check up and treatments. The Irvin Riis family drove to Albert Lea, Sunday) to visit Mrs.

Soon after rereiviiiK her diploma she received the sad news that her fiance, Bill Kyan, of Lansing, had been killed ill an auto accident. Mr. and Mrs.

Kay Doughnn, accompanied by Mrs. Allan Doughan, drove to Iowa City, Wednesday of last week, to visit Allan Dougluin who was hospitalized there for a week for treatment for an eye condition. Mr. and Mrs. Allan DouKhan returned Friday from Iowa Citty.

The Clyde Wilson family, and Jimmic and Carol Wilson, all of Kclley, were entertained to dinner Sunday in the Floyd Wilson home. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew O. Peterson have moved to their r.e-.v home in the west part of Uritt.

The house which is being built by Mr. Peterson and son Mclvin, was started last fall, and at piesent is Hearing completion. Mrs. Peterson is also helping with the work. Mrs, Jennie Kieliin is grunda for the fifteenth time.

This time it la a girl born to Mr. and Mrs. James Uiehm, of Eldon, Iowa. The little lady will be named after her grandmother, Jennie Kiehm. Mrs.
