Miss Marilyn Severson, member of the Cresco school facility, spent the week end with her parente, Mr.

and Mrs. Henry O. Severson. Mr. Jerome LaBounty entered the Mercy hospital Sunday morning and underwent surgery.

Mrs. Clara Fosen received a telephone call from "Waterloo, Sunday evening, announcing the birth of a daughter, Nov. 8 to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reagan at Allen Memorial hospital.

Mrs. Reagan is the former Anna Mae Fosen. Mrs. Marion Espe, Mrs. Hilda Maland, Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weston accompanied her father, James Shelton, of Britt, to Ames, Saturday evening where they met Mrs. Shelton who was returning from Virgina. Mr.

Edwin Mathuen and Calvin and Mrs. Einar Erickson, all of Wilson, left Friday after a week's visit with Mre. Lewis Jackson, Sr. and Mrs. Joel Johnson.

HAYFIELD A. C. TayW CHURCH MEETING HERE NOVEMBER The cub-district Brotherhood will meet in the church parlors here Monday evening-, Nov. 16 with dinner being served at 7:15 p. m.

At Klemme, Wednesday of last week, the boys won a 45-43 decision with Bob Tsdrirki scoring 25 points. The girls won 55 to 42 decision with 'Susan Hauge hitting for 26 markers. Playing ficarville 'here Friday night for their first conference games the girls won 56 to 48 with Shirley Malek hitting for 25 markers.

The boys game was close all the way. At half time the score was tied 20-20; at the third quarter 26-26, and with seconds to go, 38-38 when Roger Christenaen made good on one of two free to win 39-38. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brcka and family, of Iowa City, were visiting relatives in this vicinity over the week end. Caught TiTes Clipperton of Churdan was caught in a corn-picker recently but was more embarrassed than hurt. Nearly all of his clothes were torn off when iJiey become caught in the machine.

KADERA GUARD AT U. S. EMBASSY Fred A. Kadera, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Fabian Kadera, who is serving on special duty in Europe, has been assigned as special guard at the U. B. Embassy at Budapest, Hungary, and expects to be there for come time. Mr. and Mrs.
