There are about 50 cases In and around Young America, but so far no deaths have been reported except the death of Glenn Johnston who was in camp at Camp Taylor. He is the first of the Young America boys who are in the service, to give his life for Old Glory.

Miss Eva Brown has been very ill with influenza. Miss Rhea Kruke. Margaret Harmon, John Shanks, Miss Gibbs, Earl Duchwall, the children of Dora Roaches, Abie Hursh's family, are all victims of the "flu." The five of Fred Lenon's took suddenly sick with it last week but are all much improved. Miss Carmen Lenon is visiting relatives at Logansport this week. Miss Mary McManarua is visiting relatives in Peru for a few days.

The funeral of Dr. Gray was held at his home near Galveston last Sunday. Interment was made in "the Galveston cemetery. Dr. Gray was a former resident, and doctor of Young America Wednesday with Otto Cline and family of Logansport.

Vernon Williams who has been seriously ill at Camp Taylor with influenza. is out of clanger. A Frailing was seriously injured Monday when the horse he was leading to water became frightened and threw him to the ground, fracturing his skull. He is some better at this writing. Mr.

Edwin Gallahan made a business trip to Peru Saturday. Erbin and Lowell Wilson are the proud owners of a goat. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Morris and little son Buddy, of Logansport.
