Ruminski Funeral Home Highway 21, Redgranite (920) 566-2313 Serving the Family BERLIN -Mr. Lester Lee Sprague, age 80 of Berlin, died Wednesday morning, March 14, 2001 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born October 28, 1920 in Rocky River, Ohio, the son of David H. and Ida H. Beck Sprague.

He married Viola Freimark on June 16, 1946 in Berlin. Viola survives. Lester moved to Berlin in his youth. He had lived in Berlin for most of his life. Lester was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He served in Central Europe and in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Lester fought at Two Jima. He was employed at Speed Queen in Omro for 19 years and at the Berlin Foundry for 20 years as a drill press operator, until his retirement at age 62. He was a member of the Berlin Chapman Old Timers Club. He enjoyed country music, fishing and bowling.

He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Bob married Joyce E. Hall on October 11, 1980, she preceded him in death on December 23, 1998. Bob greatly enjoyed gardening and hobby farming.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel (Donna) Bosch of Sun Prairie and James (Kathleen) Bosch of Watertown. He is further survived by several sisters, a brother and numerous grandchildren other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Audrey in January of 1963, one sister and two brothers. There will be no visitation, private family services were held. Memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice in Bob's memory.

"Minnie" Mangene, age 87 of Winter Park, Florida, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 at Westchester Assisted Living Winter Park, FL. She was born April 13, 1913 in Redgranite, the daughter of Cosimo and Maria Anna Pastore Mangene. A single person, Filomena was a graduate of the Redgranite Elementary and Redgranite High Schools. Minnie was a graduate of the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing in Waterbury, Connecticut, where she received her diploma and her Registered Nurse Degree. She received her B.S.N.

Degree in Nursing Education from DePaul University in Chicago. She served her country in the Army Nurse Corps for 3 years during World War II. Following the War, she was active in nursing until her retirement. She had worked at the Chicago Research Hospital for 30 years. Minnie was a faithful, active member of St.

Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park. She served as a Lector at the Church. She was a member of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, the Auxiliary of Winter Park law requires Amtrak to give six months' notice before ending service. The Lake Country Limited, as the route is known, has carried passengers and express freight between Chicago and Janesville since April. In June, the train added a stop at Zenda, near Lake Geneva.

O'Connell, age 80 of the Township of Poygan, WI, died unexpectedly Thursday evening March 15, 2001 at his home. He was born on April 6, 1920 in the Township of Poygan, the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Schano) O'Connell. He married Shirley H. Lee on June 5, 1948 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in the Town of Poygan and they made their home and farmed in Poygan until their retirement.

They moved to the O'Connell's Lakeview Subdivision in Poygan which John developed in 1963 and 1964. John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Winneconne where he was an usher for a number of years. He was a member of the N.F.O. and the Farm Bureau.

He was a volunteer fireman with the Poygan-Winneconne Fire Department for thirty years. John and Shirley traveled extensively throughout the states and John remarked that he never thought in his lifetime he would see as much of the country as he did. John enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and playing Uno and cribbage. He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Shirley H. O'Connell, three children, Lynn and Ralph Huettl of Winneconne, WI, Thomas O'Connell and his friend Cathy Zelhofer of Oshkosh, WI, Sharon and Tommy Huettl of Winneconne, WI, and John's ex daughters-in-law, Michele Moore and Nancy Vetrone.

He is further survived by seven grandchildren, Patrick, Michael and Matthew O'Connell, Cari 1 Beatrice A.
