Indoor Picnic. A most impromptu but delightful picnic dinner was enjoyed last evening by a number members or the Cosmopolitan club in the rooms. The affair was gotten up in. a hurry, but what was lacking ia time spent on arrangements was made up in the variety and quality ot the delicious picnic dinner which was served. Everyone just packed up a basketful of eatables that they happened to have about the house and came, the sum total ot their contributions making, a dinner fit for a kinir.

Following dinner the evening was spent in games, music and dancing, music being furnished by a fine electric piano, which has recently been installed in the club rooms. Class Sleeting. The Twentieth Century class ot the Broadway M. E. Sunday school met at the home of llr.

Days of this nature, while hard, are the ones most enjoyed by the ladies who are so indefatigable Hi their efforts to serve these boys who go through hero, because they feel that they have really accomplished something worth while. 'In the library of pianoforte music there are any number of lovely- pieces which never fail to make an appeal to an audience, and of course there are a vast number whose chief merit is the opportunity they give to show other pianists aiid the critics amount of technical proficiency you have attained. I don't eschew (hose entirely because people would say I was playing to the gallery, but 1 do try to find melodic numbers which aye not hackneyed and which will satisfy the non-technicians in the audience.
