Stabbing suspect turns himself in A21-year-old man suspected of stabbing a man Sunday in the Ross parking lot on North Main Street has turned himself in. Finees Ruiz turned himself into Salinas police on Thursday, and he was booked into Monterey County Jail. Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old was stabbed several times during a fight over ex-girlfriend, according to police. The victim fought off Ruiz, who fled before police came.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to police. Aknife was recovered at the scene.
