The jury of eight men and four women reached its verdict after four hours of deliberations. By MARLENE DIGIACOMO Daily Times Staff Writer MEDIA COURTHOUSE Was Elizabeth Lande "a walking suicidal bomb" or did Robert Nauss deliberately snuff out the 21-year-old woman's life by hanging her? Those were the arguments advanced by Defense Attorny Edward Savastio and Asst.

Disf. Atty. James DelBello in closing statements to the jury of eight men and four woman Thursday DelBello charged there' was sufficient evidence to find Nauss 2G, of Aston, guilty of first degree murder in the death of Ms Lande. Savastio argued the woman "did not met her death at the hands of Nauss" but took her own life. He also hammered away at the fact no motive for the killing was advanced during the trial.

He said there was no reason given why Nauss would want the woman dead. "The reason is not here because it didn't exist, does not exist and never existed," the attorney told the jury. DelBello argued" Nauss admittedly beat the woman on several occasions and once flung a padlock in her face. Nauss, a convicted rapist and drug dealer, is a former treasurer and vice president of the Warlock Motorcycle Club. DelBello referred to testimony given by several prosecution witnesses in which Nauss complained that Elizabeth Lande was bothering him.

"William Standen also testified he (Nauss) said he could kill her because she got on his nerves I submit he could hang her." De- lBello said. Standen, the prosecution's key witness, testified during the trial he saw Nauss standing near the dangling body of the woman, after he hanged her in the loft of a Folcroft garage on Dec. 1971.
