Facts of Law by James Manske of Manske Law Office If you buy a car on time, you must continue payments even if the car is destroyed or stolen. (In practice, the insurance proceeds may pay off the loan.) Only 60,000 of 550,000 American lawyers are women, but they make up a full third of the law students. Future: by 1990, 50 percent of the students and of the lawyers are expected to be women. If you co-sign a loan, you become liable for the entire amount if the borrower defaults. Best job in lowa must have been that of the corset inspectors, who went around poking women in the ribs to see if they were wearing corsets, which is against the law in lowa.

The Supreme Court has determined that it is unconstitutional for state laws to require men to pay alimony, but not women.
