Fire Damages Service Station At Redgranite REDGRANITE Severely damaged by fire Saturday was the Citgo Granite Service Station in Redgranite operated by Darwin Raa'z. The Redgranite fire department was called by the station attendant at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The operator was away hunting at the time. The firemen had to use extreme caution in fighting the blaze with water because of high voltage power lines in the front of the station.

Starting in the rear from an undetermined origin, the fire destroyed a frame addition to the station which was used for storage. The main portion of the building and contents was also damaged. The building is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Rexford Davis of Redgranite.

They said they planned to make repairs as soon as the loss is adjusted. The amount of damage has not as yet been determined, but the loss is covered by insurance.
