C8 THE OSHKOSH NORTHWESTERN FRIDAY, DECEMBER 30, 1994 iVE bly Please Don't Drink Drive Designate a Driver The following Nori-Alcoholic Recipes were brought to you by these area sponsors: Sense CREOLE COOLER 1 pint milk 8 ounces crushed pineapple BANANA MILK SHAKE 1 large banana, sliced 8 ounces milk 1 Vi oz. orange juice 1 tablespoon honey A few drops of almond extract Whipped cream 1900 Jackson 424-7820 BATMAN COCKTAIL 6 ounces orange juice Vi teaspoon grenadine 1 orange slice Pour the juice and grenadine into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with the orange slice. HOT SPICED PINEAPPLE JUICE 14 ounces pineapple juice 1 ounce lemon juice A cinnamon stick BLASTER BATES 1 very ripe banana V4 cup blueberries V4 cup raspberries 2 ounces chilled milk 4 ounces chilled orange juice Place all of the ingredients into a blender.

Blend well. Pour into a collins glass. FLYING FAIRBR0THER 2 ounces grapefruit juice 1 ounce orange juice 1 ounce cranberry juice 1 teaspoon honey 3 ounces ginger ale In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the grapefruit juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, and honey. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes.

Top with the ginger ale. Stir well. FRUIT MILK SHAKE 1 pint apiece orange juice ft chilled 2 ounces orange juice 3 teaspoons lime juice Sugar Combine the pineapple with the juices a pitcher; add sugar to taste. Add the milk and mix well. Serve straight up.

FROSTED CHOCOLATE SHAKE 3 pints hot chocolate, chilled 1 Vi pints vanilla ice cream Combine in blender for a few seconds until smooth. Serve in a tall glass with a straw. FROZEN PINEAPPLE BANANA COOLER 8 ounces pineapple juice; frozen and chopped up Vi small banana, sliced Several drops of lemon juice Combine in a blender for several seconds, or until snowy. HOT SPICED NOGGIN 2 quarts cider 6 ounces brown sugar 1 orange sliced 1 lemon sliced Cinnamon sticks Whole cloves Combine the sugar and spices in a saucepan; pound together into a fine powder. Add a quart of warm water; stir well and bring to a boil.

In a separate saucepan, heat the cider with the fruit slices; do not allow to boil. Strain clean. Serve warm. ROSE AND THISTLE 1 very ripe banana, sliced Vi cup ripe strawberries 6 ounces milk In a blender with 6 ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Blend well.

Pour into a collins glass. VIRGIN MARY 7 ounces tomato juice Vi ounce lemon juice Vs teaspoon black pepper Vs teaspoon salt Vs teaspoon celery seed 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce 1 dash Tabasco sauce 1 celery rib 1 lime wedge In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, pepper, salt, celery seed, Worcestershire and Tabasco. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Garnish with the celery rib and the lime wedge.

ORANGE MILK SHAKE 4 ounces orange juice 2 ounces pineapple juice 1 Vi ounce honey 1 tablespoon lemon juice A pinch of salt 2 cups milk Combine with ice; shake very well. Strain straight up; serve with a straw. TOMATO LASSI 2 ounces plain yogurt 2 ounces tomato juice 4 ounces water Vs teaspoon salt Va teaspoon celery seed Place the yogurt, tomato juice, water, and salt into a blender and blend thoroughly. Pour into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the celery seed and stir thoroughly.

VIRGIN PINAC0LADA 7 ounces pineapple juice 2 ounces coconut cream 1 cub crushed ice 1 maraschino cherry 1 pineapple wedge In a blender, combine the pineapple juice and coconut cream with the crushed ice. FLORIDA PUNCH 1 Vi quart orange juice 1 Vi quart grapefruit juice 16 ounces powdered sugar 12 ounces lime juice 3 cups water 1 Vi quart ginger ale Combine the sugar and the water in a saucepan; heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool. Combine the sugar syrup and the juices; stir well.

Add the ginger ale plus chunks of ice before serving. MOCK CHAMPAGNE 4 ounces white grape juice 4 ounces grapefruit juice 1 pint club soda A few drops concentrated lime juice Angostura bitters Chill all the ingredients extremely well. Combine the juices, stir well, and before serving, add the soda; stir gently. Touch each serving up with a dash or two of bitters. MOCK MANHATTAN 2 ounces orange iuice 2 ounces cranberry juice A few drops lemon juice A few drops maraschino cherry juice 1 -2 dashes orange bitters Combine with ice; shake well.

Before serving, add the sherbet in small scoops, plus the soda. RASPBERRY DELIGHT 3 ounces raspberry sherbet Ginger ale Fresh raspberries Scoop the sherbet into glass; add ice and fill the glass with ginger ale.

Float a few raspberries and serve with a straw. RASPBERRY REFRESHER 12 ounces of red raspberries 2 cups sugar 1 pint orange juice Boil the sugar in enough water to make syrup. Add raspberries; macerate until smooth. Add the orange juice; stir and refrigerate for several hours. Strain before using.
