Announcing The Opening of Our New Location miss Mama Atnman Thanksgiving Dinner, Dance Set At Elks The Elks Country club will be open all day Thanksgiving for Elks and their out-of-town guests.v Thanksgiving dinners will be served from 1 p. m. to 8:30 o'clock and in the evening old-fashioned square dancing: will be enjoyed. The annual Harrison township Farm bureau turkey supper was held recently at the Odd Fellows halt Devotions were given by Mrs. Marie Haisley and singing was enjoyed by everyone.

The Rich buy. Last year the top price for turkeys was about 75 cents a-pound. Prior to the war, turkeys cost only 39 cents a pound. That was in 1941. Prices of other favorite meat dishes for the Thanksgiving dinner table are about the same as 1946.

Fries are selling from 63 to 68 cents a pound this year. Last year they were 70 cents a pound. Roasting, chickens are priced from 51 to 64 cents a pound while last year the average price was 60 cents a pound. Ducks About Same Ducks are quoted at 55 to 60 cents a pound and rabbits can be purchased for the same figure. Domestic rabbits were priced be-twee 55 and 60 cents in 4.946.

Ham, a popular Easter dish, also comes in for its share of demand at Thanksgiving. This year ham costs the housewife bewteen 53 and 62 cents a pound. Last year ham cost 72 cents a pound at Thanksgiving time. Cranberries, used to -make that tart salad, are quoted around 35 cents a pound. In 1946 they sold for 45 cents a pound.

They were 29 cents a pound back in 1945. Butter now is selling for 82 and 83 cents a pound. Last year it was quoted between 80 and 90 cents. Bread," milk, eggs and some mond Order for Rainbow Girls. No 47 is sponsoring the affair.
