PrfuvsonVi "It happens all the time This crazy love of mine Wrapped around my heart Refusing to unwind" "Crazy Poco Jay Kirk Kittell had so many loves wrapped around his heart. First would be his wife Nancy, along with daughter Bailey, then family, friends, animals, sports of all sorts, liberal politics, and the ocean (always that southern California ocean). All these loves were set to the beat of music, so many kinds, so deeply known and so joyfully lived. These passions shaped a remarkable man who died November 20th, 2016 in Louisville, KY. Kirk had come home to Louisville in 2011 but in a full and rich life he had lived many places California, Hawaii and Colorado.

Wherever he was he brought his unique intelligence, humor, steadiness, grace and compassion. "Are you reelin' in the years Stowin' away the time Are you gatherin' up the tears Have you had enough of mine" "Reeling In The Years" Steely Dan Kirk was predeceased by his parents, Thelma and Hank Kittell (Irvine, CA) and his older brother, Jim (Prescott, AZ). He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Bailey Kittell of San Diego (Jon Taatjes), sister Janet Kittell Thompson (Kevin), sister-in-law Peggy of Prescott (Jim), sister-in-law Shari Witkowski of Chicago (Brian) and brother-in-law Danny Sansardo. Kirk was born January 16, 1948 in La Mesa, CA. He graduated from Westport H.S.

and the University of Kentucky. Applying himself in academics was not a trait adopted early but a professor with the Pepperdine University MBA program commented in an evaluation of a mature Kirk's graduate work: "You are a rare seeker with a depth of understanding that I don't see too In human potential you stick out like the sun peeking through on a cloudy day." Kirk was a jack of many trades and master of most. He was the consummate bartender restaurant manager for much of his early work life. He later became Southwest regional sales manager for Breaker Technology. In recent years his love for wine and dogs was fulfilled by working with the good folks at Vines and Canines.

Many will miss the robust Bloody Mary he served there on any given Saturday. "Whenever you call me, I'll be there Whenever you want me, I'll be there Whenever you need me, I'll be there I'll be around" "I'll Be The Spinners Kirk could give the impression of being a cynical wise guy, but was actually a man of aching idealism and softness of heart. Among his hidden dimensions were a passion for poetry (some penned by himself) and a flair for interpretive dance (the more wine the more interpretive it became). Something never secret or restrained was his tremendous pride in and love for daughter Bailey, a devotion to loving wife Nancy, as well as profound gratitude to and respect for the sister who was always there for him, Janet. There are many ways to remember Kirk.

We believe he would urge you to pick what works for you but perhaps the best way would be to love the one you're with. "Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I love you more" "In My the Beatles The family requests that donations be sent to Louisville's Sierra Club or The Arrow Fund.
