Stuart scholarship for the 1947-48 school term, the Carnation company Scholarship Foundation has announced. Valued at $500. the scholarship is applicable toward college or advanced edvication. Miss Taylor is a freshman at the i a State Teachers' college, where she is studying to become an elementary teacher. She will v.ise her newly won scholarship to continue her schooling at the college.

The budget allocation for the coming year was made from an estimated total of $6,009,661 in conservation funds at the end of this fiscal year, leaving an unallotted sum of $498,594 for the period. A total of $585,370 is provided for law enforcement, $557,670 for fish management, $541,910 for upkeep of public hunting and fishing grounds, and $422,899 for game management and farm research.
