Conley, 31, of Hunt Glen, Granby, husband of Edward J. Bach- Mario P. DeBellis, 89 man, 9b, tormerly passed away of Fairfield, hus February 1, 2011) in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was born March 25, 1921 in New Britain to Emi-lio and Mary Grace (Nargi) DeBellis. Mario "Dynamite" DeBellis is a great hero of the Second World War, a Battlefield Demolition Specialist, Sharpshooter, and fought to victory in North Africa, Normandy, France, Rhineland and Ardennes, with the 83rd Infantry Division of the United States Army from November 1942 to December 1945.

He helped General Patton in the great "Battle of the Bulge" and earned five battle stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. The 83rd Infantry Division is famous as the Ohio, code name honored by the United States Holocaust Memorial, as the main liberating force, particularly at the Buchenwald concentration camp in Langenstein, Germany on April 11, 1945. Mario was a life member of the VFW Post 254 in Hartford. The whole family and friends say thank you Uncle Mario, you always were a straight shooter, and loved our Lord Jesus. Mario never married, but was known to many nephews and nieces as "Uncle and he had a pet name for everyone.

He is survived by his sister, Grace Rose DeBellis Fragione Virelli, wife of Frank Virelli, his elder sister, Anna DeBellis Mau-lucci, wife of Sam Maulucci of Hartford, predeceased her. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25 at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. For online condolences please visit Prudence (Hall) Chechile, 71, beloved wife of Richard J. Chechile, of South Windsor, died Thursday, (March 17, 2011) at home, with her family by her side.

Born in Brimfield, MA on July 11, 1939, daughter of the late Ralph and Adele (DuFresne) Hall, she had lived in South Windsor for the past 45 years. She was a devout parishioner of St. Patrick St. Anthony Church of Hartford. She had volunteered through the church, at the public library of South Windsor and at St.

Vincent DePaul Society. She enjoyed traveling and hiking trips around the world. Closer to home, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, gardening, watching birds from the deck and most especially her adoring grandchildren. All who knew her will miss her. In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Peter Chechile and his wife, Jacki, of Stur-bridge, MA, Jennifer Sanders and her husband, Aaron, of West Hartford and De-anna Chechile and her partner, Julie Haley, of San Francisco, CA; a brother, Ralph H.

Hall and his wife, Annie, of Horseshoe, NC; three grandchildren, Aidan Sanders and Zayn and Sophia Compton and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Hartford, 06103.

A private burial will be held at Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Samsel Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick St.

(Turcotte) Chalifoux, home to Heaven on Friday, (March 18, 2011), at Windsor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Marie was born October 6, 1921, the daughter of the late Louise (Boucher) and Octave Turcotte in Baie de Sable, Quebec.

She was the widow of Norman Chalifoux. They had been married for 57 years, starting their life together in Quebec, Canada before settling in CT in 1948. Her talents included knitting, crocheting (often without the use of patterns), baking and making the most awesome pie crust. She liked bowling and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians. She enjoyed her grandchildren, but really cherished her great grand kids.

She is survived by her children, Marie Zace-Murphy of Enfield, Denis Chalifoux of Manchester, and Nancy Pfuetzner and her husband, George, of Windsor; eight grandchildren, Debbie Spakoski, Richard Chalifoux, Sandra Rickert, Denise Longo, Thomas Zace, Kristina Thurz, Susan Harman and Jennifer Elwood; 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jean Marie; her sisters, Therese Gardner and Jean D'Arc Ferland. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two sisters, Madeline Genon and Si-mone Lavigne and two sons-in-law, Robert Zace and Donald Murphy; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Chalifoux. Marie's family would like to thank the staff and residents at Windsor Rehab for their compassion and care given to their mother. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church.

Mario Ce Mi, 61, of Plymouth, husband of Anto-nietta (laconiello) Celli died Thursday, (March 17, 2011) at his home. Mario was born October 1, 1949 in Corvara, Italy. He was the son of the late Orazio Teresa (Mariani) Celli and has been a resident of Plymouth Terryville for the past 30 years. Mario was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville. Mario worked as a toolmaker for over 30 years.

He was employed by Debrin Metals before change of ownership to Sherwood Manufacturing where he worked most recently. Mario was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved to spend his time outdoors. He also had a passion for sports, namely soccer of which he enjoyed playing throughout his life. He founded the Terryville Youth Soccer Club so he could share his love of the game with future generations. He devoted much of his time to coaching while never passing up an opportunity to get his own cleats in the grass.

Mario was a man of integrity with a unique sense of humor, who was respected by all of those who had the chance to know him. He enjoyed sharing a glass of his homemade wine with family and friends. His two granddaughters, Julia and Taylor, were his pride and joy. We could not ask for a better husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle or friend. Thank you for your love and guidance.

You will be forever in our hearts- until we meet again! Besides his wife he leaves his son, Marco Celli, of Plymouth; his daughters, Petulia Pugli-ares and her husband, Aldo, of Wethersfield, Cristina Freimuth and her husband, Derek, of Terryville; his brothers, Bruno of France and Vincenzo of Italy; his sisters, Maria Cavicchio and her husband, Silvio, of Terryville, Elvira of Plainville, Nina and Concetta of Italy and Ida of France; his grandchildren, Julia Taylor Freimuth and several nieces nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m. DEVANNEY, Dorothea Mary band of the late Josephine Redfield Bachman passed away peacefully on (March 17, 2011) in West Hartford, CT. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Drs. Gejzy and Elizabeth Byrne Bachman, podiatrists in Bridgeport. He graduated from Central High School, Bridgeport and the MacAI-lister School of Embalming in New York City He practiced as a licensed Funeral Director in Bridgeport for 45 years before retiring in 1980.

Mr. Bachman was a resident of Fairfield for 59 years before moving to the Hartford area to be closer to his family. Mr. Bachman served as a Navy Pharmacist Mate 2nd Class in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a Charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9427 and a member of American Legion Post 74, both in Fairfield.

He was an avid, year-round salt and freshwater fisherman. He particularly enjoyed fishing for bluefish out of South-port Harbor, starting in the 1920's as a young boy with his Dad. Mr. Bachman kept a boat at the Ye Yacht Yard in Southport Harbor for 40 years and was a fixture there for over 50 years. He was a member of the Fairfield Boat Owners Association and was appointed to several Southport Harbor Commissions.

In his retirement years, Mr. Bachman and his wife, Josephine, became avid metal detectors. They enjoyed walking the beautiful beaches of Fairfield and Westport searching for coins and little 'treasures' for their grandchildren. Mr. Bachman also enjoyed playing a friendly game of poker with his extended family on holidays and with his VFW and American Legion buddies.

A communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield, Mr. Bachman was also a member of the Fairfield Historical Society and the Mill Plain Improvement Society, founded by his mother-in-law, the late Margaret Beers Redfield. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Josephine Red-field Bachman, and three brothers, William, Arthur, and George Bachman. He is survived by his beloved daughters and sons-in-law: Eleanor Angliss and husband, Robert, of Longmont, CO, Elizabeth Stockmal and husband, Henry, of Columbia, CT, Jane Bachman and husband, Robert Brzozow-ski, of Oneonta, NY and by his beloved son and daughter-in-law, James Bachman and wife, Karen, of West Hartford, CT; eight grandchildren: Robyn Angliss and companion, Robert Bal-linger, Brian Angliss and wife, Jennifer, Gregory Stockmal and wife, Deb Ca-ponera, Edward (Ted) Stockmal and companion, Karen Kaback, Carolyn and Andrew Bachman, Nathan and Elena Brzozowski; and two great-grandchildren, Bridget and Liam Angliss.

He also leaves beloved nieces and nephews and their spouses: Susan and James Kennedy of Springfield, VA and Eleanor and Arthur Yeadon of Heyworth, IL, Walter and Margaret Redfield of Myrtle Beach, SC, David and Eileen Red-field of South Yarmouth, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. He was born February 4, 1920 in Bristol, Rl, son of the late James E. and Rose (Brown) Conley and had lived in Simsbury for many years prior to moving to Granby. He was a veteran of World War II having served as an Officer in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Mr.

Conley's career in the dairy business spanned almost fifty years with Sealtest Foods, where he was general manager in Hartford and then Chief Executive Officer for New England Dairies until his retirement in 1989. After retirement, he enjoyed his duties as Chairman of the Board for New England Dairies, spending time with his family, traveling, reading and gardening at home during his retirement years. He is survived by his two sons, James E. Conley, III and his partner, Karen Burnham, of North Granby and John W. Conley and his wife, Jane, of Granby; three daughters, Ellen Antonellis and her husband, Gerard, of Middle-ton, MA, Joan Knurek and her husband, Robert, of South Windsor and Mar-yanne Strindberg and her husband, Aaron, of West Granby; 11 grandchildren: Suzanne, Jay, Shannon, Courtney, Dan, Leighton, Emily, James, Abby, Caitlin and Kevin; six great grandchildren: Michael, Andrew, Amanda, Sofie, Gabriella and Adriana; a very special friend, Helen Mangiagli; a brother, William Conley and his wife, Pat, of Bristol, Rl and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of McLean Health Center for all their care and support. There are no calling hours. Philippa M. Dr. Philippa Mathieu Coughlan, 75, a clinical psychologist, the founder and for 40 years the Director of the Office of Behavioral Health for Students at Wesleyan University, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital in Connecticut, on (March 17, 2011). She was a resident of Mid-dletown, Connecticut, and had a home in Newport, Rhode Island. Philippa was born in Boston, Massachusetts, graduated from Boston University, where she was President of the Newman Society for three years, and received a Ph.D.

from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she worked with Carl Rogers. At Wisconsin, she was a principal in the post-Vatican II transformation of the University Catholic Center. In addition to her long professional career at Wesleyan, Philippa taught in the Psychiatry Department of the Yale School of Medicine, served for eight years as Chair of the Connecticut State Board of Mental Health and was a Governor's Appointee to the Community Health Strategy Board. In her youth Philippa was an accomplished figure skater with the Skating Club of Boston and later a respected judge for the US Figure Skating Association. She was a pioneer in the field of behavioral health for college students and spent a lifetime making a positive difference in young people's lives.

Philippa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and she was a generous friend. She is survived by her husband, Neil and son, John; daughter-in-law, Karen and grandson, Patrick (to whom she is brother-in-law, Paul; sister-in-law, Tina; nieces, Nicole and Monica. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21 at Corpus Christi Church, 529 West 121st Street, New York City, preceded at 9:30 a.m. by a viewing in the church.

There will be a noon reception for friends and family at the New York Athletic Club, 180 Central Park South. Philippa will be buried in a private family service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, New York. YANDOW, Beverly A. (Stark) DRUZINSKY, William Dorothea Mary (Grant) Devanney, 74, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Devanney, passed away Saturday (March 19, 2011).

She was born September 15, 1936 in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of the late Henry Grant and Dorothea (Willis) Phillips. Prior to her retirement Dorothea was employed by Hartford Hospital and then A Keypunch. Dorothea is survived by four sons Robert A. Devanney and his wife Debra of Hebron, Steven T. Devanney and his wife Nancy of Wethersfield, Bruce R.

Devanney of Marlborough, and Michael Patrick Devanney and his wife Shelley of Rocky Hill; a brother Charles Phillips and his wife Jian of Allentown, PA; and nine loving grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan, Meghan and her husband William Endicott, Angela, Erin, Lauren, Shelby, Connor and Maddison. She was predeceased by a grandson Michael Patrick Devanney Jr. and two sisters, Patricia Liebovich and Geraldine Crane. Born in the Bronx, NY on June 29, 1922, daughter of the late James and Lena (Mancuso) Santuccio, she lived most of her life in Connecticut. She resided in Hartford, West Palm Beach, FL, and most recently at St. Mary Home, West Hartford. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Linda Thompson and her husband Larry of Newington; her granddaughter, Sta-cey Chaloux and her husband Rob and their son Cody of East Hampton and grandson Kevin Valk and his wife Jen Dzienis of Portland, OR. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Ruggerio and her husband Nicholas and Delores Murphy and her husband Thomas, all of FL and loving nieces and nephews.

She was Co-owner of Johnny's Market and later employed by Canteen Corporation. Marlene was active in the 80th Division Veterans Association serving as President of the Ladies Auxiliary in the past. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (March 22) at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Mary Home, 2021 Albany Avenue, West Hartford.

Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 9-10 a.m. at St.

27, 1942 of Biddeford, ME, passed away (March 17, 2011). Bev enjoyed the Andy Griffin Show, nature especially the beach. No one could make fudge like Bev. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A Yandow. She is survived by two sisters; Susan and Skip Kensel and Cynthia Collins; five children: Joseph Yandow, Diana and Robert Torres, Marjory and Darren Leone, Maryann and Eric Poverman, and Amy Yan-dow-Poverman; nine grandchildren: Robert, Katie, Ka-rissa, Cameron, Erica, Ethan, Seth, Jayden and Sydney; two great-grandchildren: Trynity and Madison, her soul mate, Jeanie Hall and a beautiful niece, Robin Barkoski, and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held March 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory's Church in Bristol followed by her burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bristol. Will Druzinsky, from Farmington, died suddenly and sadly on March 16.

Will was a gentle, kind soul, an adored son of Katie Bradley and Paul Druzinsky and a wonderful brother to Jamie and Bradley. Will's life was defined by his passion for music and travel, and his friendships with all who met him. Will's passions were evident as he studied guitar and voice, while quoting Nietzche and Eastern philosophers. Will left us too early, but left everyone he ever touched with memories that will live on forever. In addition to his parents, Will is survived by his brothers, Jamie and Bradley; his step father, Eric Ben-Kiki; step brothers, Kieran and Stanton; maternal grandparents, Orren and Marilyn Bradley; aunts and uncles, Robert and Renee Druzinsky, Michael Druzinsky, Bruce and Karen McElroy, Jay and Beth Bradley, Mark and Dianne Bradley, and cousins: Rachael, Leah, Colin, Christopher, Anna, Tom, Katie, Austin, Caroline, and Allison.

We invite friends and family to celebrate and remember Will's life on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. in the Meetinghouse, 75 Main Street, Farmington. Will adored children and music, so in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Horns for Kids, an organization that supports providing children and schools with musical instruments and musical support in Connecticut schools.
