BIO WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 20U THE HARTFORD COURANT OBITUARIES EMMONS, Richard C. Ill CASSELLO, Frank Louis ENOS, Joan M. DUBA, Francis T. (Frank) Francis T. (Frank) Duba, of 869 Hill kRoad, husband of the late Jane B.

(Burke) Duba, died Monday, (June 6, 2011). He was born in St. Louis, MO, on May 10, 1925, son of the late Charles and Mathilda Duba. Frank served in World War II in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force and retired in 1968 with twenty-five years of service.

During his time in the Navy, he served on the USS Nautilus and remained a Plankowner until his death. Frank worked for The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. for twenty years and retired in 1988. He was a member of the Nautilus Alumni Association, Submarine Veterans of WWII, Holland Club and Sub Vets of Groton. Frank is survived by a son; Tom and his wife Mary, of Har-winton, a sister; Virginia Summers of St.

Louis, a brother-in-law; Francis Burke, two sister-in-laws; Annie Duba and Dorothea Duba, a step-brother; Joe Herzog, six grandchildren; Frank, Elizabeth, Michael, Jacqueline, Katherine and Brianna, all who reside in Harwinton and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Charles, Joseph and Donald Duba and his sister; Mary Ann Murphy. The grandchildren were the joy of his life in trying to assist them in the normal every day conditions. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, (June 10, 2011), at 3 p.m., at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main Street, Thomaston, CT.

Military Honors will be held immediately following the mass. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. To offer an online condolence, please visit KELLOGG, Naomi Avery Naomi Avery Kellogg, 97, of Winsted, passed away on Sunday, (June 5, 2011), at Cherry Brook Health Care in Canton, CT, where she made her home for the past 7 and 12 years. She was the wife of the late Clark T.

Kellogg who died in 1991. Born in Winsted, Feb. 8, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph and Cora (Beach) Avery, she had lived here all of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1976, she had been a Registered Nurse, working at Yale New Haven, Greenwich and Winsted Memorial Hospitals. She was a graduate of The Gilbert School, Class of 1933, and the Middlesex Memorial Hospital, School of Nursing, Middletown, CT, Class of 1937.

While there, she met her husband Clark, who was a student at Wesleyan College. Her activities included Past President of the Winsted Registered Nurses Club, Past President of the Y-Circle and member of the Winsted United Methodist Church. She and Clark loved to dance to the old tunes, enjoyed entertaining her family during the holidays, digging in her flower beds and she followed the girls on the UConn Huskies Basketball team until her death. Her survivors include two daughters, Lois (Kellogg) Mangione, Linda Kellogg; grandsons, Scott Mangione and his wife Pam, Steven Mangione and his wife Shirley and Christopher Kellogg and his wife Dee. Granddaughters Sharon (Mangione) Poley and her husband Robert, Carrie (Kellogg-Langner) Miner and her husband Jamie; great grandsons, Daniel F.

Kellogg and Zachary G. Mangione; Great Granddaughters, Elizabeth Avery Kellogg and Claudia Lyn Miner and many nieces nephews. She was also predeceased by two sons, Daniel C. Kellogg and David S. Kellogg; son-in-law, John C.

Mangione; brother, Claude Avery and sisters, Lillian Avery Manchester and Ruth Avery Calder. A private memorial service will be held at their convenience with the Rev. Avery Manchester, nephew of Naomi officiating. There are no calling hours. To leave an online condolence, please visit Frank Louis Cassello, 67, of Wallingford, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Janet M. Stella Cassello. He was born in Mer-iden, December 28, 1943, a son of the late Frank M. and Rose Corvo Cassello and was a U.S.

Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed as Director of Court Operations by the State Judicial Department in Hartford and had previously worked for the Wallingford Police Department. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church where he served on the Bazaar Committee and was the Chairman of Security for the Bazaar. He was a member of the Libero Pen-siero Society where he was a Past Officer and a member of the American Legion Shaw Sinon Post 73 where he was a Past Sgt. of Arms.

Frank enjoyed playing golf at Traditions Golf Club and playing Softball in the over 60 league. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his daughter, Gina Marie Phelps and her husband Brian S. of Placentia, CA; his two sons, Frank L. Cassello Jr. of Patterson, CA, and Steven J.

Cassello of Yorktown, VA; his five grandchildren, Dillon John M. Cassello, Makenna R. Cassello, Krystin E. Cassello, Erica Cassello and Kaci N. Cassello; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard T.

and Arlene Cassello and Robert M. and Sharon Cassello, all of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Wallingford, on Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 4 p.m.

until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.

"Richie" Emmons, III, age 22, of North Granby, CT, formerly of Woodstown, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Afghanistan due to injuries sustained in an enemy attack. Born in Christiana Hospital in Delaware, he lived in Woodstown until 2002, when he moved to North Granby, CT. He is a 2006 graduate of Granby Memorial High School and also a 2009 graduate of the Porter and Chester Institute in Enfield, CT. He enlisted in the US Army on Sept. 23, 2009 and earned the rank of Specialist on April 1, 2011.

During his military service to our country, he received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal and the Combat Action Badge. Richie loved hunting, country music, and cruising in his Ford F-150, but more than anything, he loved to be with his family. He was very loveable and very kind, and anywhere he went, he always left a place better off than it was before he came. Richie is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Janice (Tighe) and William Hogan; his sister, Morgan; his brother, Conor; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Carol Tighe of Pedricktown; his paternal grandmother, Ar-line Newsome of Salem; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Richard C.

Emmons, and his paternal grandfather, Richard C. Emmons, Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 11 in the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Parish Center (formerly St. Joseph's Church), Elm Woods-town, where friends are invited to visit Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 a.m.

Layton Funeral Home Cremation Service in Woodstown, 856.769.1515. FUSCO, Giuseppe Joan M. Enos, 82, passed away on Sunday, (June 5, 2011) after a brief hospitalization. She was born on November 5, 1928 in Syracuse, New York. Her parents were Dr.

Norman Liv-shin and Mildred Wilkinson Livshin. Joan was awarded her College Entrance Diploma from the University of the State of New York in 1946 and a degree from Syracuse University in 1950. She was married to William N. Enos on October 9, 1952 in Hartford. For over 25 years Joan was employed by The Travelers Insurance Company in the group life actuarial department, where she supervised 40 workers.

In her later years, Joan enjoyed DVD sessions from The Teaching Company (teachingcompany.com), exploring the great pharaohs of ancient Egypt and the archeology of ancient Rome and Greece (including underwater finds). She lived in Wethersfield for 29 years and is fondly remembered by her next door neighbor, Mary Lou Gates and Mary Bergan, of New Haven, who worked with Joan at The Travelers. She received outstanding care from Glastonbury Health Care Center, and will be particularly missed by her nurse, Brendan. Joan was predeceased by her husband William and is survived by her brother, Peter Livshin of Oneonta, NY. WU, Yuen-Chi Yuen-Chi Wu, 88, of West Hartford, passed away on Saturday (June 4, 2011) at the John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, CT. He was born on September 8, 1922 in Hangzhou, China.

His father, Yi-Fong Wu, a prominent Nationalist Party Leader, was a founder and administrator of the Cen-tralChengchi Academy, now the National Chengchi University. He received his B. A. degree from Nanking University, China; an M. S.

from the Columbia University School of Social Work; and his doctorate from New York University School of Education. Prof. Wu taught at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work from 1964 until his retirement in 1989. He specialized in the area of social work research and evaluation. His professional writings appear in Social Work magazine and other publications.

Twice he went to Great Britain to study, first as UN Fellow; later as WHO Fellow. Before coming to the United States, he was Deputy Chief of the Relief Division, Ministry of Social Affairs, Nanking, China. After retirement he devoted his time to developing and writing the book "Questions We Ask," which was published in April 2011, about two months before his death. He was survived by his sister Ben-J en Wu of Beijing and his nephews, Yuan- Yi Zheng of Chicago, Illinois, and Yuan-Gang Zheng of Hangzhou, China. Memorial services will be held on Friday (June 10) at 2 p.m.

To share a memory with the family please visit HIGLEY, Mary Ann (Ceruzzi) Mary Ann (Ceruzzi) Hi-gley, of Enfield passed from her earthly journey to eternal life at the age of 69 in the comfort of her home on Sunday (June 5, 2011). Mary Ann was the beloved wife of the late Frank H. Hi-gley, II for 40 years and daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Santa Mauro) Ceruzzi and had resided in Enfield for 45 years and in Wallingford before that. Prior to retiring in 2003 Mary Ann was employed by Saint Joseph College's Graduate Office and at the Greater Enfield ARC.

She loved playing cards with the Thursday night group, reading, being out in the sun and she always had kind words for everyone, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. Mary Ann was the loving mother to Frank Higley III and his wife Brenda of Southington, Mark Higley and his wife Mary of Wilmington, NC and Steven Higley of Enfield, grandmother to six beloved grandchildren, Emma, Fran-kie, Andy, Kaila, Hannah and Dylan and her grand-dog She is also survived by her brother Peter Ceruzzi of St. Petersburg, FL along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. KNOX, Isabel Isabel (Gade) Miller Knox, 83, loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on Sunday (June 5, 2011) at Masonicare in Wallingford. Born on March 24, 1928 in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Grace (Clark) Gade. A longtime Meriden resident, Isabel attended local schools and was a dedicated volunteer at the Meriden Wallingford Hospital. She was a member of the Meriden Junior Women's Club, the Republican Town Committee and "The Bridge Club." Isabel had a great love of animals, especially dogs. Throughout her lifetime she donated to many animal charities.

She also was a fan of greyhound racing. In the later years of her life, she resided in Kentucky and Cape Cod before relocating to The Hearth at Pond Ridge in Ashlar Village in 2008. Most important to Isabel was the love she had for her family. She attended all of her children's sporting events as she was their greatest fan. Isabel is survived by her sons: Spencer H.

Miller and his wife Robin of Cromwell, Jason Miller of Wisconsin, Luther A. Miller and his wife Sandra of Cheshire; her daughter Nina M. Phipps and her husband Christopher of Ansonia; eight grandchildren: Paris Miller Godbout and her husband Matthew of Meriden, Ryan C. Miller of Cheshire, Hayley G. Miller of Hartford, Allison G.

Phipps of Ansonia, Trevor L. Miller and Kyle B. Miller both of Cheshire and Sarah I. Phipps and William L. Phipps both of Ansonia and her great granddaughter Marley J.

Paskie- GOFF, John B. wicz, Bb, passed away peace Giuseppe "Peppe" Fusco, 84, of Rocky Hill, loving husband for over forty years to the late Angelamaria (Di-Rubba) Fusco, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (June 7, 2011) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Formicola, province of Caserta, Italy on October 24, 1926, son of the late Carlo and Assunta (DeLuca) Fusco, he had been a resident of Rocky Hill since 1972.

Prior to his retirement, Peppe was a talented cabinet maker for many years in the Hartford area. He was an avid gardener and loved making his own wine. He was also a loyal soccer fan and a longtime member of the Mt. Carmel Saint Cristina Society in East Hartford. Peppe is survived by a devoted son, Carlo Fusco and his wife Cindy, of Wethersfield, a caring daughter, Assunta Sadolfo and her husband Angelo, of Boynton Beach, FL; four special grandchildren, Joseph D.

Fusco and Timothy J. Fusco both of Wethersfield, Stella Sadolfo of Boynton Beach, FL, and Anthony Sadolfo of Arizona. He also leaves a brother, Gino Fusco and his wife, Renza, of Turin, Italy; a devoted brother-in-law, Tony DiRubba of Rocky Hill and two other brothers-in-law, Leopoldo DiRubba and Francesco DiRubba both of Italy; three sisters-in-law, Maria Fusco and Giuseppina Fusco both of Formicola, Italy, Josefa Fusco of Venezuela; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Besides his beloved wife and parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Vincenzo Fusco and Bruno Fusco both of Formicola, Italy and Mario Fusco of Venezuela. Peter's Church bowling league for many years and was a passionate Red Sox fan. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Steven M. Paskiewicz, Jr. and his wife Diane of Cromwell, and Annette Snow and her husband David of Bethany; one brother, Joseph Paskiewicz of Kensington; grandchildren, Kate and Daniel Paskiewicz and Madeline, Jacqueline and Julia Snow; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Walter, and Peter Paskiewicz and a sister, Mary Krause.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Middletown, followed a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy in St. Peter Church, Higganum. Burial with military honors will be in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.

Goff, 46, of Du-luth, GA died on Sunday (June 5, 2011) at the Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

He was the husband of Marta Goff. Born May 29, 1965 in Ft. Ord, CA, he was the son of Richard and Sharon (Davis) Goff of Southington. John was employed by Turner Studio's -NBA Channel since 2008 as a member of the original production crew for NBAtv. He always took great interest in furthering his expertise as a camera operator and lighting tech.

John took a father-like role with the younger members of the production crew, who always came to him for advice. He was a complete professional and a valued member of the Turner Studios team. He enjoyed watching all types of sports, tennis, baseball, golf. One of his hobbies was making movies. John loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.

He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. John was a Big Brother while living in Orlando, FL. He loved all animals especially his dog Besides his wife and parents he leaves two sisters, Christine Przybylski and husband Bruno of Southington, and Deborah Fiorello of GA; five nieces and nephews, Taylor, Matthew and Nolan Fiorello and Samantha and Katelyn Przybylski. His funeral will be held on Friday (Jun 10, 2011) at 9:15 a.m. from the Della-Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.

Main Southington to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

For online condolences and directions please visit ERRICO, Rosina Rosina (Zullo) Errico, 84, of West Hartford passed away Sunday, (June 5, 2001). She was the wife of the late Erminio Errico. Rose was born in Apice, Italy in 1926 and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1955, living first in Hartford and later moving to West Hartford in 1965. Rose was a devoted communicant of OurLady of Sorrows Church, Hartford.

Her door was always open for visitors and you would be greeted with a smile and the offer of something to eat. Not only was Rose a good cook, but she was an amazing gardener. Her vegetable gardens were the envy of all. Rose is survived by her two sons, Vin-cenzo and his wife Lori and their children, Vincent, Domenick, Matthew and Dylan; Donato and his wife Linda and their children, Daniel, Christopher and Michael; her cherished nephew, Enzo Errico and his wife Gina and their children, Luigi and his wife Stacy, and Vincenzo. She is also survived by her brother, Paolo Zullo and his wife, Fiorinda; sisters, Felicia Genca and Angela Loma-glio all of West Hartford and a sister Lucia in Italy.

Rose leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at John Dempsey Hospital. Funeral procession will be Thursday, June 9th at 9:15 a.m. from the Sheehan Hil-born Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford.

Entombment will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloom-field. Calling hours will be TODAY June 8th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
