PA'GE EIGHT AICNTTOR-INDEX AND DEMOCRAT, MOBERLY, MO. SATURDAY EVENING, JULY 29, 1933 NEW STATE LAW ON ABSENTEE VOTING Ballot Must Be Cast Inside State; Other Changes i in New Order The new Missouri law on casting of absentee ballots the entire voting- procedure for voting of such ballots and is effective in all future Missouri elections. The bill, introduced by Senator Delmar DaH of Marceline, became a law Tuesday. "The new law permits any qualified elector of the state, who expects to be away from his legal voting precinct on the day of any General. Primary or Special election, to make application in person, not more than thirty nor less than five days before the election, to his County Clerk or Board of Election Commissioners.

Th-; voter will be required to make affidavit as to his qualifications and residence as a legal elector of his home precinct. He will then be given an Official Absentee Ballot. He may either mark and certify to this ballot immediately and leave it with the county clerk or he can take the ballot with him, mark it at his pleasure, certify to it before any officer of the state, authorized to subscribe to oaths and mail the ballot back to his county clerk or election commissioner in time for it to be received before 6:00 o'clock p. m. the day following the election.

The ballots to be totalled when the official count is made afte- the election, and all absentee ballots can be challenged for cause when that count is made. Will Make Votes Valid "The law greatly simplifies the casting of an official absentee ballot and with proper co-operation frdni county clerks and election commissioners, should result in a greatly increased number of valid absentee votes. The absentee voter casting his ballot under this law should remember that the Missouri Constitution requires the elector at any Missouri election to be within the state when his ballot is cast: therefore the voter coming under the provisions of this act must cast the ballot while the state. However, lie can secure fie ballot and cast it before the day of the election anti does not necessarily have to be the state on election day. The coming election on the proposition to repeal the 18th Amendment will be the first opportunity to use this new law and those voters who expect to be away on the day set for this referendum election should familarize themselves the necessary procedure under this law, in order that they may cast a valid ballot.

Again, as in "The Big Broadcast," a very thin thread of story ties together a group of popular radio favorites and public curiosities. the first time in the history of the world," reads a blurb, "here is a picture to be shown to the general public in which will appear hundreds, even thousands of men, women and children, wholly naked and unclothed." This picture, "Back to Nature," is the first--and in fact the only --motion picture exposition ever made of the enormously growing practice of going naked. It is heralded as a complete and authentic United States as well. One part of this picture shows scene in a nudist camp just 75 miles from New York City. Other scenes show two of the largest camps in France and still other portions depict a day's Hfe in the t- great nudist camp just outside of Berlin, Germany. The picture is based upon Jan Gay's brilliant book, "On Going Naked." The young authoress also wrote the screen treatment since she has come to be regarded an authority on Nudism.

Camera crew were sent abroad as well as into nudist colonies in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey for the scenes.
