12 THE 08HK05H NORTHWESTERN SATURDAY, AUGUST 15. 1992 Wesner Aufl Repair Professional bodv repair and service i Mm caught sight of the restored car and showed an interest in having him restore their Mustangs. He has restored vehicles for people throughout Wisconsin and even for people from Chicago. He started the business in 1957 after a good friend talked him into establishing his own busi- ness. The friend had seen some of-Lenny's work for others.

He has always said, 'If you can do it for someone else, you can do it for yourself." Wesner's has a small and personal atmosphere where the customer is given the attention. "In this fast-paced world it's hard to find good service. We pride ourselves on the fact that quality work and service to the customer is of utmost Andy Wesner said. Andy Wesner started working for his dad at age 16, and he has seen a lot of changes in the business over the past 16Vi years. But what he learned working at his father's side will remain with him.

He learned that hard work and diligence pays off. When Leonard and Caroline Wesner decided to retire after 35 years of running Wesner Auto Repair, 213 W. South Park Oshkosh, the obvious successors were their son, Andy, and his wife, Jenny. Andy and Jenny Wesner took over the business on Aug. 1.

Leonard Wesner still works at the shop on a part-time basis, but his wife has turned over the bookkeeping responsibilities. Andy Wesner now runs the shop and Jenny Wesner does the bookkeeping. He has expert knowledge of the business, having attended all phases of auto body repair and refinishing. He is also considered an expert in restorations of early model Ford Mustangs, particularly 1965 convertibles. Leonard Wesner became interested in Mustang restorations in 1979 when he purchased a 1965 model to restore for himself.

Some of the commercial jobs Roe has handled is the new Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. plant, the Experimental Aircraft Association grounds, Scharpf Identity Apparel and C.R.

Meyer and Sons. Mr. Heinzl says the secret to their success has been to treat customers fairly and honestly. Even though all 12 people working at Roe are not related, "We feel like a family," he said, with many of the employees having put in more than 15 years of service. And, with all of this experience, things go pretty smoothly.

That helps contribute to the success of the business. The Heinzls' son, Stephen, and daughter, Theresa, are "helpers" at the nursery. And although they may or may not want to take over the business someday, their involvement in the business is teaching them many things, including responsibility. Roe Nurseries 72 Waukau Oshkosh, has been part of the city for 124 years, the last 17 under the ownership of Gary and Dar-lene Heinzl. Roe Nurseries sells and plants shrubs, trees and evergreens.

Roe will also put in new lawns and underground sprinkling systems. The company does work for both commercial and residential clients. Roe tries very hard to stock the right items for the growing season. "Being able to stand back at the end of a day and see what you have accomplished is what I like about the business," Mr. Heinzl said.

"I also like being able to take pride in the project a few years down the road. "We also got some funny calls over the years, like people asking if we sell live trees or if they can enroll their kids in our nursery." Over the years, customers have always wanted about the same thing: a good growing landscape, DARLENE AND GARY HEINZL and Tamie Borgardt run Roe Nurseries. Parti TJ Prinfl Dnc. Start to finish printing services lpnftK-N PRINT Mr August Tiedje was a pressman for many years and Patricia Tiedje had business courses, so the husband and wife combination decided to start their own business. They said it was hard work with many long hours, but now in looking back, it was worth the time and effort.

They explained that the needs of the customers have remained pretty much the same over the years, with people wanting fast, quality work. The Tiedjes feel that is what they offer to the consumers. "Working together as a family has brought us closer together," Patricia Tiedje said. "Our secret to success is to be honest, have reasonable prices, meet our deadlines, pay our bills on time or before they're due and love doing what you are doing." Park 'N Print 150 Jackson Oshkosh, has offered Oshkosh area customers start-to-finish printing service since June 1979. The services offered include folding, collating, stapling, perforating, printing and typesetting functions.

Park 'N Print Inc. is owned and operated by August Tiedje and his wife, Patricia. Their son, Edward, also works at the family business and another son, Gerald, was part of the business until last year. The business employs five people and handles both small and large orders. August Tiedje said the company offers fast service, low prices and personal interest in what the customers need to have done.

He said they will also work with customers to accomplish what is needed. The most interesting part of the business is the challenge of getting rush jobs done on time and getting those jobs done right, Tiedje said. t- V7 --j AUGIE, LEFT, PAT, AND ED TIEDJE stand next to Park 'N Print store!.
