Meetinzof the citizens of Outagamie convened at the Jurt House oil the 28th inst pursuant to a eall for the formation of a County Agricultural Society' II 1 Bogan jwas called to the Chair and Buck appointed Secretary On jnotion a Committee of three con sisting ot Packard Phinney and Mason was appoint ed to draft and ort a Constitution Said Committee reported the following Constitution: CONSTITUTION THE OUTAGAMIE COUSTT AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY Name and Objects of the Society Section 1 This Society shall be called the Outagamie County Agricultural Society Its objects shall be to improve the condition of Agriculture Horticulture Mechanics Domestic Arts Manufactures in the County Sec 2 become a to the Constitution and paying one dollar and the same sum annually thereafter so long as he shall continue a mcmlier thereof The pavment of one dollar shall constitute a person a member and shall ex empt such person from annual assessments Any member may withdraw from the Society by paying up his assessments and sigmfv ing his wish to the Secretary Oficcrs and their Duties Sec 3 The officers of this Society shall be a President ice President Secretary Treasurer and as many Trustees as there are Towns in the County and ards in the City one of whom shall be chosen from each Town and Ward and such other offi cers as the Society may from time to time find necessary These officers shall be cho sen at the annual meeting and shall all be mcnJters of the Society Sec 4 The Secretary Jiall keep the rec ords of the Society shall conduct the corres pondence with other societies and individu als and transact all the business required of him in the act incorporating this Society Sec 5 The Treasurer shall keep the funds of the Society and disburse them ac cording to the directions of the Trustees on the order of the President or in his absence of the Vice President countersigned by the Secretary He shall transact all other busi ness required of him by the act incorpora ting this Society and shall make a report of the receipts expenditures and funds of the Society at their annual meeting He shall give a bond in such sum as the 'Trustees may direct for the faithful keeping of the property of the Society and discharge of his duties Sec 6 The Trustees shall have a general supervision of the affairs of the Society and shall do all the business required of them by the act incorporating this Society They mav appoint the time and place for tlie An nual Show and air and make out a list of premiums to be awarded and make such rules and regulations as are essential for the government of the Society Sec 7 The annual meeting of the Socie ty shall be held on the first Tuesday in Oc tober in each tear Sec 8 This Constitution may be amend ed at any annual meeting by a vote
