Mrs. Rutherford, who suc cumbed at' 1036 Oxford Street, was the widow of Frank Mitchell Rutherford, former Nevada County district attorney and member of the State Legislature, as well as one of the original members of the State Board of Prison Directors.

I A native of Connecticut, Mrs. Rutherford came to California via the. Isthmus of Panama as a child of .2, her family settling in Nevada County to become prominently identified with development of that area. She was affiliated with Truckee chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star and Neighbors of Woodcraft. For 14 years Mrs.

Rutherford had resided in Berkeley. Surviving are four children, Llttl chang is predicted in the weather picture in the United State generally today. Gordon E. Stephens, 49, of Maxwell, driver of the truck, was cited for traveling at ah excessive speed. Officers said 'Stephens' trailer jackknifed on a curve and crashed into the car. 6'Cities Seek Uniform Code For Building WALNUT CREEK, July 28. 4- Mayors of six Contra Costa County cities last night voted to ask their city engineers and build ing inspectors to co-operate in a program standardizing municipal codes.

The growing use of aircraft and the problem of protecting persons, animals, honey bees and crops have brought about the need for the changes, they say.
