Elane Lewis Sorey Elane Lewis Sorey, 76, a homemaker, of Pearl died December 10, 2006, at home. Funeral services were December 12 at the Chapel of Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, with graveside services and burial in the Carr United Methodist Church Cemetery in Smith County Survivors include her husband, Robert Moody Sorey or Pearl, children, Kathy Casey of Warner Robbins, Dwight Sorey of un.ca, Will Sorey of Brandon, Adrian Sorey of Byram, and Laura Watkins of Gluckstadt; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Atha Lewis; and sisters Lou Alice Glisson, Frances Gilbert, Billie Ruth Gray and Waudena Carr. Williams, 74, a retiree, of Braxton died at St. Dominic Hospital on December 10, 2006. Funeral services are set for Wednesday, December 13, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall with burial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Whitfield of Florence; a sister, Yvonne Buckley of Pearl; and two grandchildren. Home on November 28, 2006.

Graveside services were conducted from Magee City Cemetery on November 30, with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements. She is survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Wilma B. Kennedy Wilma B. Kennedy, 83, a housewife, of Magee died December 3, 2006 at Magee General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel on December 5 with burial following in Puckett Cemetery. She is survived by a son, Earl Kennedy of Forest; daughters, Mavis K. Goodson of Brandon, Glenda Runnels of Magee, Ann Wyatt of Mt. Olive and Kay Fullilove of Pearl; sisters, Bessie Jones of Pearl and Lois Lange of Ft. Walton Beach, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Vera Mae Millis Vera Mae Millis, 86, of Mendenhall died December 10, 2006, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mendenhall with burial in the church cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall is handling arrangements. Mrs.

Millis was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Rachael Sunday School Class. She loved playing the piano. Survivors include a son, Timmy Millis and wife Diane of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Becky Sanders of Mendenhall; a special nephew, Harold McLendon of China; a step-sister, Audrey Saulters of Mendenhall; sisters, Ella Davis and Paulette Lewis, both of Hattiesburg, and Nan Moak of Summitt; grandchildren, Jeff Sanders of Braxton, Mechelle Coleman of Brandon, Taz Millis of Wylie, Texas, Tim Millis Jr. of McKinney, Texas, Cindy Wallace of Rome, Tony Millis of Sachse, Texas, Tara Millis of Dallas, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, GB.

Baldwin, 87, a retired nurse, died at her home in Jayess on November 14, 2006. Services were held on November 17 at Old Goodhope Baptist Church in Magee, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Lawrence of Pricedale; sister, Martha Statham of Mendenhall; brother, Hershel Jones of McComb; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were conducted from Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee on December 7 with interment in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Magee. Survivors include sons Chris Stewart of Ridgeland and Gary Stewart of Pearl; brother Claude Edward Blair of Jackson; sisters Mattie Jane Maxwell of Indianapolis, Ind. and Betty Sue Graves of Clinton; and one grandchild. Davis, 63, a homemaker, of Magee died at her residence on December 8, 2006. Services were conducted on December 9 from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Magee. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are two brothers, Mike Ainsworth of Saucier and Marshall Ainsworth of Brandon; and sisters, Lurlene Smith of Mendenhall, Maxine Perkins of Batesville and Dorothy Day of Crystal Springs. Jonnell Harris Jonnell Harris, 84, of Mendenhall died at her residence on December 7, 2006.

Funeral services were conducted from Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Magee on December 9. Burial followed in the cemetery of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Hazel D. Hall Hazel D. Funeral services were held on December 8 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall handled arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Winningham; son, Shey Patterson of Mendenhall; daughters, Stephanie McCoy and Kati Beth Winningham, both of Mendenhall, and Lori Hill of Brandon; sisters, Linda Morgan of Mendenhall, Tommie Shows King of Mendenhall and Thresia Jones of Temple, Texas; and five grandchildren. Congratulation to several members of the Mendenhall High School Band who will play instrument in orchestra during Christmas cantata at First Baptist Church, Mendenhall on December 17 at 6 p.m. A special friend, Brianna Blair, is one of the members. Brianna has been special to me since "sitting on my lap" when mom and dad were in choir at D'Lo Baptist Church. How great to see a small little girl "who stole my heart" grow into a sweet Christian young lady.

The family for the late Mr. and Mrs. Estus Blair held a family reunion at V.F.W Sunday. Deepest sympathy to families of Dewey Smith, Mary Bynum, Roy Parkinson and Grover Bridges. Roy's wife is former Melba Layton of Poplar Springs.

They have lived on the coast many years. Grover Bridges was husband of the late Dot Mangum of D'Lo. Prayer requests- Judson Irwin, the report on tests at V.A. last week are not good. Vera Millis remains hospitalized.
