"In my opinion, Bryant is a menace to society and for that reason and that reason alone, I ha-e sentenced him to 15 years in prison." The jury at Bryant's first defense trial was unable to agree. The matter was referred to the Jaycee executive committee for further study. The organization's participation in the Leon county fair next month also was discussed. Anyway, the chamber is furnishing them the music for such happy program and naturally the song is Frank Loesser's composition which has had a spectacular run on radio and Juke boxes over the country during the past 90 days. Highway 27 association is distributing copies of the song from Chattanooga, northern ter- i minus of the route all up through the middle west to Chicago, De- troit, Milwaukee and Sault Ste Marie, north of Lake Michigan. Jitnmie Osceola Dies, Aged 95 FORT MYERS, OP) Seminole indians and white friends will pay last tribute today to Jimmie Osceola, who as a young warrior fought under Chief Billy Bowlegs when the Seminole tribe made its last stand against federal troops in what is now Collier county. The money was collected as state intangibles taxes a year ago on mortgages issued on Florida lands to secure part of an 80 million dollar bond, issue by the railroad.

The Seaboard asked the refund, contending only bonds secured by it which are held in the state are taxable. Under this system the railroad would pay only a few hundred dollars.
