Spotlinlf I.KK ItUM -lax. K.UiLi:—IS HOUSE OF SUSPENSE Recently we ran into Jim Sermons, the popular director of Community House, and found him shaking his head and talking to himself. Of course being around kids all day could do that to a man but upon closer observation we discovered the real reason for his behavior. It seems that Jim has been living in a state of suspense these days. what has taken place in four basketball games between Madison and Florham Park teams at the Community on Cook avenue.

One Saturday morning, a group of Community House sixth graders topped a similar team from Florham, 26-24, on a last second shot by Marty Butler. That same day, Florham Park was revenged when the Recreation quintet nipped Madison, 43-41, after the final shot of the game by a Madison player went round and round the, rim but not in with Just a second left to play. Two days later, Tom MacMahon fired a jump shot with less than 10 seconds left as the Florham Park Tigers made good against the Madison Imoalas, 53-51, tocapture the Senior High League second half title. Guess what happened the next night? BobSchmidlein of Florham Park misses a foul shot but then wins the game with a field goal to give the Sportsmen (com- psed of Madison and Florham boys who attend Bayley-Ellard) a 44-42 verdict over the Royals in the Frosh-Soph League.

They pulled the game out of the fire with a great 16-point performance while their ball-hawking defense held the Streaks to Just five points.
