Gerrard Catholic-Church and Seniors and Friends of Fort Oglethorpe. She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Tidswell of Cornville, and Frances Vannatten of Ringgold, her sister, Elsie LoGuirato of Phoenix, nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter St.

Paula Decker Paula Ellen Decker, 46, of Banning, a 30-year resident of Riverside County, died March 3, 200 1 at home. She was born Nov. 28, 1 954, to Paul E.

and Georgia A. Harrell Johnson in Thayer, Mo. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her ex-husband, Dennis A. of Fontana; her son, Dennis P.

of Desert Hot Springs; her daughter, Erin D. of Banning; three sisters, i neressa Johnson, Linda Ledford and Tracy Decker, all of Fontana; and two grandchildren. "Osig" Tysko, 83, of Palm Desert died March 3, 2001, in Rancho Mirage. He was born Dec. 26, 1917, to John Olaf and Sina Knutson Tysko in Astoria, Ore. He was an engineer for 25 years and worked for North American Rockwell, then was a life insurance agent. He served in the U.S.

Army's 17 th Airborne Division during World War II and on the board of Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim for many years. He is survived by his son, Robert S. of Sunnyvale; his brother, Clif-' ford of Washington; his sister, He- len Fastabend of Astoria, i and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cor-rinne, and one daughter. There will be a service at 1 1 a.m.

today at Immanuel Lutheran i Church in Riverside with Wiefels and Son Funeral Directors, Palm Springs, in charge of arrange-i ments. Juanita Bartrow Juanita I. Bartrow, 72, of La Quinta died March 5, 2001, at home. She was born Jan. 28, 1929, in La Quinta. She married to Robert Bartrow on Sept.

29, 1955, in Skamania, Wash. She was an ordained minister and spiritual healer. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Wick of Portland, four sons, Larry Richardson of Portland, Keith Richardson of Ixmisville, and Robert Jerry and Roger, both of La Quinta; her mother, Edna Gumm of Portland, and her brother, James Gumm of Portland, five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1963. Services will be at noon today at the Church of Religious Science in Palm Springs.

Floyd Goodman Floyd Good- man, 7 1, of Cathedral City died March 7, 2001, in Rancho Mirage. He was born Sept. 22, 1929, to Arthur Mahue and Ijllie Gideon Goodman in Weldon, Ark. He married Janean Stinnett on July 23, 1949, in Banning. He was a contractor in the tile and ceramic industry for 45 years in the desert area and a member of the Lions Club for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Janean of Cathedral City; three sons, Richard Irry W. and Jerry all of Cathedral City; his brother, M.C. of Palm Springs; his sister, Dorthula Rush of Mobile, two half-brothers, Carrel Odom of Missouri and Bill Odom of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Palm Springs Mortuary, Cathedral City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ramon Chapel, Palm Springs Mortuary. Entombment will be in Palm Springs Mausoleum, Cathedral City, with Palm Springs Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Demetrio Brodit Demetrio D. Brodit, 70, a 30-year resident of Salton City died March 6, 2001, in Indio.

He was born Aug. 30, 1930, to Vicente C. and Rosario Dejuan Brodit in Fort Stotsenburg, Pam-panga, Philippines. He was a waiter for 1 5 years. He is survived by his wife, Dolores of the Philippines; his daughter, Luz of the Philippines; two sons, Marvin and Toto, both of the Philippines; two sisters, Virginia Neel of Livermore and Erlinda Briones of the Philippines; six brothers, Pal of Monterey, Vicente Jr.

of Indio, Tony of Alameda, Frank of Salton City, Marcel of Prescott Valley, and Roger of San Leandro; and four grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. today at Wiefels Mortuary Chapel in Palm Springs, followed by interment in the Philippines. "The boys arc gone; I think they pretty much nipped this thing in the bud." She said the school sent letters home assuring that there were no guns on campus. Daughter Jennifer Altman said today was a normal day on campus. "We were doing what we normally do we were mainly doing our school work," she said. She said she feels safe at school and people weren't talking too much about the arrests. Dale Mitchell, assistant superintendent for Morongo Unified School District, said the district has not implemented any new security measures as a result of the incident.

"In light of what's been occurring with all the schools, we're going to take a look at our policies and take a look at how well that has worked up to now," he said. However, he said they will be making staff more visible on campus and will create more dialogue with the kids. "We're going to spend more time discussing what has occurred here in the district," he said. Julie Aragon, mother of one of the students allegedly on the "hit list," said her daughter Cori was back in school today. "As long as those boys are locked up, we'll be fine," she said.
