Tri-Villages A black 1988 Chevrolet Beretta was reported stolen about 4:30 a.m. Monday off the 2500 block of Mark Thomas Lane in Hanover Park. No other details were available. A window on a 1993 Ford van was broken by a vandal Feb. 5 in a lot at 513 Parkside in Streamwood, police said Thursday.

Damage was estimated at $350. Hoffman Estates A window on a 1986 Mitsubishi Montero was broken by a vandal early Feb. 5 on the 1100 block of Rosedale Lane in Hoffman Estates, police said Thursday. Loss was estimated at $100. Schaumburg Two Roselle teens were arrested about 5 p.m.

Feb. 5 after they stole $560 worth of merchandise out of the Sears store at Woodfield Shopping Center, police said Sunday. Sean M. Crossley, 17, and Matthew L. Larsh, 18, both of 140 W.

Devon were charged with retail theft. A blue 1992 Lincoln Town Car was stolen Saturday afternoon out of a parking lot at 2309 Hammond Drive in Schaumburg. Loss was estimated at $10,000. A Hanover Park teen was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday after police found marijuana and a pipe in his car during a traffic stop at Walnut Lane and Oxford Court in Schaumburg, authorities said.

Michael P. Colles, 17, of 7988 Northway Drive, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. A1997 Ford van was burglarized Friday or Saturday at Woodfield Ford, 905 Golf Road in Schaumburg. The intruder broke a window and tried to steal a television mounted inside the van. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

Stereo equipment was stolen Saturday night out of a 1991 CMC Jimmy at 901 Perimeter Drive in Schaumburg. The burglar broke a window. Loss was estimated at $1,500. Police arrested a Schaumburg man Saturday and charged him with obstruction of justice after he gave police a fake name following a traffic accident, police said. Patrick A.

Barnes, 19, of 2201 Penn- view Lane in Schaumburg, struck a tree on the 1400 block of Kings Road in Carpen- tersviffe before leaving the scene, police said. Barnes was found by police a short time later at a nearby gas station. He was also charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and improper lane usage, officials said. He was given $1,000 bond and assigned a March 27 court date. Elk Grove Village a Four tires and rims were stolen Feb.

4 or 5 off a 1994 Buick Regal in a lot on the 700 block of Perrie Drive in Elk Grove Village, police said Monday. Loss was estimated at $2,340. A purse was stolen about 9:30 a.m. Thursday out of McDonald's, 10 Biesterfield Road in Elk Grove Village. Loss was estimated at $115.

A $150 cellular phone was stolen Thursday morning out of a 1991 Geo parked in a lot at 2241 Pratt Blvd. in Elk Grove Village. Virginia Irving Armstrong Services for Virginia Irving Armstrong, 93, a resident of Barrington for more than 60 years, will be private. Born Oct. 24, 1903, in Oceanic, the daughter of Isaac and Edith (Jeffrey) Irving, Ms.

Armstrong died Sunday, Feb. 9,1997, at Winchester House in Liberryville. She was a homemaker and the author of the book "I Have Spoken," which was published when she was 71 years old. She enjoyed painting and writing poetry. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Kocher of Palatine; five grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

Foley, the late John and the late Margaret (late Tom) Sullivan; the son of the late Margaret and Mortimer Foley; and the grandfather of Thomas Kara Anne and Kristen Mary Hein. For information, (847) 359-8020. Harry J.Bystricky A memorial service for Harry J. Bystricky, 77, of Long Grove will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, at Hope Lutheran Church, corner of Checker and Arlington Heights roads, Long Grove. Mr.

Bystricky, who was born in Cleveland, died peacefully his sleep Feb. 7,1997. He was president of Biwax Corporation, a chemical business in Des Plaines. He spent five years in the Armed Forces during World War II and was a First Lieutenant in the 15th Air Force Squadron. At young ages, his parents left Czechoslovakia, emigrating to Cleveland, Ohio where they met and married.

When Harry was 12, the family moved to Chicago where Harry spent the rest of his life. His constant joys were hearth and home, working in his gardens, planting and nurturing, and watching the fruits of his labor. This was followed by love of family, friends, and employees, one and all. His strong work ethic made him a guiding light. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (nee Darnell); and his brother, Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Clearbrook Center, 2800 Central Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. Arrangements were made by Cremation Society of Illinois. Terra Cotta Crystal Lake, with Pastor John Boberg officiating. Mr. Howard, who was born April 21,1935, in Prescott, Ark, the son of Cleve and Delphia (nee DeFoor) Howard, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at his home. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.

A Korean Army veteran, he was the owner of Howard Drywall Crystal Lake since 1960. On June 8, 1959, he married Darlene Fischer in Chicago. Survivors include his children, Clifton Howard of Schaumburg, Beckie (Tom) Auxier, Jeanmne (Tim Lalleman) Howard all of Crystal Lake, Robert H. (Mary) Howard of Schaumburg and Stacey (Clint) Gerretson of Crystal Lake; his grandchildren, Kaylee and Tommy Auxier and Bobby Joel Gerretson; his mother, Delphia Peters of and his brothers, Hershell Howard of Ark and Jerry Howard of Crystal Lake. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Harles.

Noland, 81, of Mount Prospect, formerly of Prospect Heights, will be said at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road in Prospect Heights. Mr.

Noland, who was born on Feb. 11, 1915, in Saginaw, Mich, died Feb. 5, 1997, at the Moorings, Lutheran General Health Center in Arlington Heights. He was a sales executive and district manager for 35 years with the Bemis Company Inc. He attended DePaul University after serving in the Army during World War II, April 1941 to December 1945.

He was a member of the Tower Club. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary A. Noland (nee Cmarik); his children Margaret (Michael) Mangan, Jude (Greg Forge) Noland, Jeffrey (Lmda Shoup) Noland and Michelle (David Tookey) Noland; his brother, William J. Noland of Gunnison, his sister, Mary H. Noland of Chicago and four grandchildren.

7,1997, at Friendship Village, Schaumburg. She is survived by her son, John P. Reilly; her daughter, Marianne (Lionel) Lenz; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her niece, Teresa (James) Nix, and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Reilly; and her son, Thomas E.

Rev. Roome, who was born Jan. 14, 1953, in Evanston, died Sunday, Feb. 9,1997. He was the Rector of St.

John's Episcopal Church, Mount Prospect, since May 1985 and was a member of the board of directors of the American Cancer Society and on the board of directors of OMNI Youth Services. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Roome (nee Ratko); his children, Kent Roome, Nicholas Roome and Christina Roome; his parents, Howard and Ann Roome; and his sister, Patricia R. (Michael) Cromwell. Memorial visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

10,1997, in Oakton Pavilion Nursing Home, Des Plaines. A fire protection engineer for Nacey of Chicago for more than 30 years, he also worked for the post office in Des Plaines for eight years. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Violet C. (nee Carle); his children, Grant (Sharon) Winsauer of Prospect Heights and Dawn (Richard) Lowe of Mount Prospect; his grandchildren, Gregory (Debbie) Lowe, Cindy (Larry) David (Sandy) Winsauer and Laura (John) DiPlotti; and his great- grandchildren, Matthew Lowe and Daniel DiPlotti. 10, 1997, from complications of heart bypass surgery. Mrs. Wood graduated from me University of Oregon, later becoming a homemaker in Hillsborough, where she was active in school and civic affairs. During the past 15 years, she enjoyed her role as lunch mother in School District 54 at both Campanelli and Aldrm schools. Preceded in death by her husband Alen Wood in 1980, she later resided with her daughter and son- in-law in Schaumburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Shattock; her son, Paul A. Wood of California; and her grandchildren, Carrie and Michael Shattock. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. For information, (847) 891-2900.
