Complete list in Scoreboard Brown earns GPAC honor University of Sioux Falls quarterback Lorenzo Brown is this week's GPAC offensive player of the week. Brown, a junior from Bristol, completed 12 of 19 passes for 152 yards and rushed for another 152 yards as the No.2 Cougars defeated No. 4 Morningside 34-31 to claim the GPAC football title Saturday. Brown scored two touchdowns on the ground to lead USF to an undefeated regular season at 10-0, capturing the school's third consecutive GPAC crown and its seventh in 1 the last eight years.

Brown finished the regular season by rushing for 507 yards and 11 touchdowns and passing for 1,793 yards and 17 scores. Central Lyon reaches state finals CEDAR FALLS, Iowa Jordan Gacke scored on an 86-yard run and also threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Derek Johnson to lead Central LyonGeorge-Little Rock to a 31-14 victory over IKMManning in the Class 2A football semifinals Monday at the UNI-Dome. UNI players kicked off team CEDAR FALLS, Iowa The University of Northern Iowa's leading receivers have been dismissed from the football team after they were arrested on drug charges. Panther coach Mark Farley announced Monday that he met with both players individually Sunday.

He says Gray was dismissed immediately. Williams was dismissed on Monday after a second meeting with Farley. Both players were arrested Friday on marijuana-related charges. Gray was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and violation of the Iowa drug tax stamp law. Williams was charged with possession of marijuana.

Farley says the football program is held to a very high standard on and off the field and that school officials will do their best to meet those standards.
