A Street car Meets With a ae at car Crossing on Tremont Street. a street car conductor met-with a painiul accident yesterday morning that to his home for some tinie. It was at the rail- road crossing on Tremonfc street that misfortune overtook him. Mr. Brandt offered the following res- olution containing the mayor's com- munication and moved its adoption: RESOLVED, That in accordance with the desire of many citizens for the establishment of a.gas plant to furnish gas lor fuel and lighting, the mayor is directed to cause notice to be published in proper engineering journals asking for propositions, to be made before June 15th, for the eg tabUshment of such a plant, the ex- pence, of which advertising shall not exceed $10.00.

Hughes.presented an ordinance IncreSs- ing the salary of Sexton of Greenwood Cemetery from $400. to $480. per year, which was read for the first time. Seven ballots were had with no election; On motion of Arey Council proceeded to election of Sexton for Greenwod Ceme- tery. The roll was called and Arey, Brandt, and Petersen voted for W. P. Murray. Hughes, Morgan, Stevens, Wood and Wild voted for G.

J. Kuehnle. Kueh- nle having received the majority of al' the votes cast was declared duly electee Sexton of Grreenwood Cemetery for the ensueing year. On motion of Arey the election was made unanimous. Auditing of bills taken np.

Ordinance No. 4-D was read for the first time. On motion rules were suspended for the pur. poee of placing Ordinance No. 4-D on final passage.
