Gardner was born July 14, 1905, in Clark County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gardner, and married Alice Metoxen, July 7, 1972, at Milwaukee. It was his second marriage. He was a World War II veteran and worked as custodian at a Milwaukee church until retiring a year ago and moving to White Creek Shores.

Surviving is his wife. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Friday until time of services. Mrs. Sylvia Hurlbut COLOMA Mrs.

Sylvia Augusta Hurlbut, 79, Coloma, died early Wednesday at her home following a lingering illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Funeral Home, Coloma, the Rev. Kendall Anderson officiating, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Coloma Corners. The former Sylvia Brown was born in the town of Coloma, Waushara County, June 21, 1894, the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Americus Brown and married Guy Hurlbut, July 15, 1915. He preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Lula Belle Swick, Coloma; three grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Friday until time of services. Joseph F. Pietrzak FRIENDSHIP Joseph F. Pietrzak, 17, Adams, died Tuesday when struck by an auto while he was hitchhiking near Nashville, Tenn.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Roseberry Funeral Home, Friendship, the Rev. Guy Cole officiating, with burial in Easton Cemetery. Mr. Pietrzak was born June 7, 1956, the son of Mr.

The jury found that Richard Stange, 40, 2830 31st St. was not reasonable in refusing a breath analysis at his arrest Feb. 24 for driving while under the influence of intoxicants.

Judge Fred A. Fink ordered Stange's driver's license suspended for 60 days after the jury ruling. A trial will be held June 14 on the charge of driving while under the influence. Beverly Brahmsteadt, 19, Rt. 2, Wisconsin Rapids, was placed on 18 months' probation after she was found guilty, of battery.

She was ordered to pay costs and make restitution. The woman was charged with repeatedly shoving another woman to the ground in front of a tavern, Highway 13 Feb. 14. She struck the woman in the face, resulting in three chipped teeth. The hospital's penny drive, which ended Tuesday, seeks the support of the SBA loans $300,000 for workshop addition The Small Business ministration has approved a loan to the South Wood County Workshop, 1191 Huntington for its planned expansion. The $300,000 loan was made through the Central State Bank, Marshfield, with a SBA 90 per cent guarantee. Catholic Family Insurance, Milwaukee, is providing $225,000 of the loan and the bank provides the rest. Interest on the 15 year loan is nine per 150-foot hangar, which he estimates would cost $250,000 with all improvements. He would like construction to start in fall, but said he could wait until spring, Verjinsky said.

Clapham said the present runways appear adequate at the present time, but he would like to see them eventually lengthened and widened. The ST-27 has a 72-foot wingspan.
