He was the beloved husband of Rosalind (Bloom) Luchnick for 58 years. Born in Waterbury he was the son of Samuel and Mary (Budkofsky) Luchnick. He worked in the local Crown and supermarkets and was loved by many of their patrons. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.

He was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield and of the Hartford Mutual Society and the Jewish War Veterans Laurel Post He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife he leaves his three sons; David Luchnick and his wife Patricia of Verbank, NY, Bruce Luchnick of Pleasant Valley, NY and Todd Luchnick of Manchester and six cherished grandchildren, Eric, Katie, Emily, Mer- risa, Erin and Spencer. He was predeceased by his sister Marcia Kaller. A funeral will be graveside on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby with Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating, (Rt. 189 North to Floydville Rd.

HARRINGTON, Ruth Wallace Ruth Wallace Harrington, former longtime resident of Old Lyme and Tarpon Springs, FL, died on Sunday, (March 9, 2008) at Aaron Manor in Chester. She wintered in Tarpon Springs beginning in 1984, always returning to Old Lyme in the summer. She was born on February 19, 1922, in Medford, MA, the daughter of Ernest and Elsie Stankem Pearson. She was the widow of Richard T. Wallace, and John S.

Harrington. Mrs. Harrington is survived by her son Richard T. Wallace, and his wife Diana of Deep River; and her daughter Patricia W. Kolbe, and her husband Hal of East Haddam.

She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Jennifer T. Medina. A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 13, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, Lyme Old Lyme. Burial will be private.

There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a fund that was established in memory of her granddaughter, the Jennifer T. Medina Memorial Fund, Essex Savings Bank, 101 Halls Old Lyme, 06371. This fund was established for the tutorial program at Center School in Old Lyme. The Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

HANES, THOMAS CLARK Thomas Clark Hanes, age 55, of Trumbull, the beloved husband of Carolyn Carbone Hanes, entered into rest on Monday (March 10, 2008). Survivors include his beloved children, Christianne Clark Hanes Golesky and her husband, Jason of Shelton, and Jonathan Thomas Hanes of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by his parents, H. Stuart and Lajla Hanes of Old Saybrook; his sister, Sandra Daly and her husband Dennis of Simsbury; brother-in-law, David Carbone and his wife Anita of Florida; brother-in-law William Carbone and his wife, Grace of Florida; brother-in-law Mark and his wife, Tracie of California and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His family and sailing were his passions.

GIANETTI, Jacqueline Jacqueline (Boains) Gianetti, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 49 years of Richard J. Gianetti, died Saturday (March 8, 2008) surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1939 in Lawrence, MA and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Alice (Dumond) Boains.

She graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1957. She was formerly employed at the MDC in Hartford, Premier Cleaners of Wethersfield and Victory Lane of Newington. Besides her husband she is survived by her two children, Richard of Wethersfield, Todd and his wife Nancy (Clark) of Marlborough and their children Zachary and Joshua. Jackie is also survived by her brother George Boains and his wife Theresa of Plainville, her sister-in- law, June Boains of Broad Brook, sister-in-law, Patricia Egan and her husband Michael of Wethersfield, sister-in-law, Marilyn Fithian of Plainville and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her very dear friend Jeannine Carini of Glastonbury.

She was predeceased by her brother Maurice Boains, and her sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Norman Cavanaugh. Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. We love and miss you so very much. Your Wife Family MURPHY, Isobel Isobel (Hughes) Murphy passed away Sunday (March 9, 2008), at home.

Isobel was born in Thompsonville, the daughter of the late William J. Hughes and Bridget (Sullivan) Hughes. She was employed at the Travelers Insurance Co. for 11 years. On April 19, 1937 Isobel married Walter J.

Murphy and shortly after, they settled in Wethersfield, where she remained for over 65 years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where she was active for many years in the Guild of St. Theresa. Isobel loved to dance, and enjoyed playing the piano and listening to many types of music, especially Dixieland Jazz. She liked baseball and for many years was able to attend one or two Red Sox games a year.

She enjoyed travel and even in her later years looked forward to trips throughout New England. greatest joys were her sons and she took great pride in their activities and achievements. She is survived by her three sons, Walter J. Murphy Jr. of Wethersfield with whom she made her home, Richard Murphy and his wife Marie of Willimantic, and William Murphy of Rocky Hill, three grandchildren, Denise Houman and her husband David of Storrs, Stephen Murphy of Willimantic, David Murphy and his wife Tina of Bristol, and four great grandchildren, Ryan, Janie, Matthew and Rachael.

She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Mulville of Exeter, NH and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Isobel was predeceased by her husband Walter, a sister Ruth Elizabeth Healy and her brother William J. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late John and Annastacia (Keiko) Matyczyk she lived in Hartford moving to Windsor 50 years ago. She was a faithful member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and the Protection of the Theotokos Sisterhood. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Paul Maddaluno and Linda of Acton, MA, her daughter Fran Maddaluno of Windsor, brother George Matyczyk, sister Sonia Matyczyk of New Britain, grandchildren Jennifer, Megan and Devan Maddaluno, Christine Chufo and her husband Allan Marco, Gregory Chufo and his wife Lt. Leone, 83, of Newington, beloved husband of the late Ellie Leone, entered eternal peace Monday (March 10, 2008), at Wethersfield Health Care. Joseph was born November 2, 1924 in Meriden and had resided in the Hartford area most of his life. He owned and operated for many years, the Palace Grill of Hartford.

Richard W. Morton of Hartford, husband of Catherine Jenks (Kay) Morton died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday (March 8, 2008), at Avery Heights at 93 years of age.

He was born in Portland, ME in 1915. He was Director of Audio Visual Education for 35 years for the West Hartford Public School System where he built a film library of 5,000 films retiring in 1977. He was a 4 year Army Veteran of World War II having served in the European theatre. After discharge, he served for 21 years in the Army Medical Reserves retiring as Captain. He was a member of the Unitarian Church where he served as the Director of Religious Education for 17 years.

He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, life member of C.E.A., N.E.A. He has been a member of Hartford Civitan for more than 30 years. He was the first Chairman of the State Educational Television Committee serving under the Deputy Commissioner. Besides his wife, Catherine, he leaves three sons and their wives: Rev. Richard C.

and Elizabeth Morton of Brattleboro, VT and in Portland, OR, Robert W. and Cheryl Morton and Frederick A. and Marilly Morton; 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Those who knew him as husband, father, uncle, grandfather, or friend will each miss him in a powerful and profound way. Miller of Farmington and Palm Beach Florida, died Saturday March 1, 2008) at Bethesda Memorial Hospice Care Center in Boynton Beach, FL. She was born on September 2, 1921. A Swiss citizen, she arrived in the United States in 1951.

She is survived by her loving children Christine Schmocker of Thun Switzerland, Monique Noonan of Cleveland, OH, Peter-Michael Kagan of Mar Vista, CA and her daughter-in-law, Alice Braverman Haemmerli of New York. She also leaves six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren behind. She was predeceased by her son Alfred Rolf Haemmerli, (Chief, Development Cooperation Policy Branch, Department of Economic and Social Affairs at the United Nations). Robarge was the daughter of the late Bedros and Josephine (Murphy) Jedidian and was the widow of Louis R. Robarge. Martha resided in Ellington for the past 14 years having moved from Manchester. She was a dedicated homemaker and loved gardening, animals and birds. Mrs.

Robarge is survived by two daughters Holly R. Gurry and her husband Graham of East Windsor; Joanne Coderre and her husband Joseph of East Hampton; a son Kenneth Robarge and his wife Nancy of Rocky Hill; a sister Bertha Itczak of Unionville; a brother Andrew Jedidian of Florida; five grandchildren, Allison Webb, Tara Kazmaier and her husband Jim, Sarah Coderre, Brian, Kevin and Eric Robarge; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, a lifelong friend Shirley Ramezzana and her family, and a special family friend Norma Baldwin. POISSON, Era O. Era O. Poisson, 84, of Burlington, widow of Camille J. Poisson, passed away peacefully Sunday (March 9, 2008). Born in Fairfax, VA on January 18, 1924, daughter of the late Henry and Nellie Overstreet, she resided in Burlington for over 50 years.

Prior to retiring, she was employed by Smith-Gates in Farmington. Era is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Yvette D. and Anthony DeRollo of Clearwater, FL, her son Wayne M. Poisson of Burlington, owner of Wax and Wayne Salon in West Hartford, and her beloved grandson Michael J. Poisson of Clearwater, FL.

PLUNKETT, Sharon Ruth Sharon R. Plunkett (Vann), 46, formerly of Elmwood, passed away suddenly on Friday (March 7, 2008) in Summerville, SC. She leaves her two sons, James V. Izzo, of Hartford and Michael V. Plunkett, wife Bailey, granddaughter, Kylie, of Summerville, SC.

She is survived by her parents, James and Esther Vann, of Elmwood and sisters, Deborah, Donna and Susan. NELSON, Kenneth Kenneth Robert (Bob) Nelson of 136 Hunters Road, Norwich, CT, beloved husband of Carmella Nelson, went home to the lord on Friday (March 7, 2008) in the thoughtful care of the Bride Brook Health Rehabilitation Center, Niantic, after a short illness.

Bob was born on December 21, 1926 in West Hartford to the late Gunnar and Elna Lackstrom Nelson. On April 24, 1948 he married his childhood sweetheart, Carmella Faccinto, in Hartford. Bob was a naval veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific aboard the U.S.S. New Mexico. He lived for many years in New Britain and worked at A.C.

Petersen, West Hartford, and the former Pierce Buick, Hartford, and Wasley Buick, Farmington. He retired in 1990 from the F.I.P. Corp, Cheshire. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3365.

Besides his beloved and devoted wife of almost 60 years, he is survived by three children; a son Kenneth R. Nelson, Jr. of West Hartford; and two daughters and their spouses, Gail and John Nolan, and Karen and Bogdan Ossowski, all of Colchester; five grand children and their spouses, Scot and Debbie Nolan of Little Falls, NY; Kelly and Brian Hebert of Rochester, NH; Erin and Mark Sieczkowski of East Hampton; Michael and Megan Ossowski of Meriden; and Kaitlin Ossowski and Jason Boucher of Colchester; three great grandchildren, Natalie and Olivia Nolan, and Hunter Boucher; and a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard (Ray) and Camilla Nelson of Manchester; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2008, from p.m. at the Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South Street, Taftville, CT.

A private burial at the Veterans Cemetery in April will commemorate Bob and 60th wedding anniversary. Bob was a proud veteran and was looking forward to oining the American Warriors veterans group on their visit to the memorials in Washington, DC. Stein died Tuesday (March 11, 2008) at Rockville General Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Buffalo, NY, daughter of Charles and Sandra Ganey of Vernon. She was a 1979 graduate of Rockville High School and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Nursing. Susan was an accomplished head nurse at Rockville General Hospital and recently received the Florence Nightingale Award from the hospital. She was very active in the lives of her children and was loved and respected by many in the community and the Nursing profession. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her children Kathryn, Joseph and Kevin, her brother and sister-in-law Peter and Gretchen Ganey of West Hartford, her sisters and brothers-in-laws Tammy Ganey and Axel Palmason of Washington, DC, Kelly and David Rice of Windsor, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Matt and Barbara Stein of Ellington, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all those who have been supportive during Susan's battle with cancer. Friends may gather on Saturday (March 15) at St. Joseph' Church, Rockville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Schumann, 77, beloved husband of Jytte (Krarup Gundel) Schumann, of South Windsor, died Friday (March 7, 2008) at Vernon Manor. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 12, 1930, son of the late Richard and Rose (Iversen) Schumann, he had lived in South Windsor for the last 35 years. John was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring after 21 years as a Senior Master Sergeant. Among his many awards he received the Legion of Merit and was an Outstanding Airmen of the Year in 1966 and 1969.

John had been employed at Capewell Components and Pioneer Parachute. He enjoyed gardening and golf. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Jytte, he leaves his children, Kim Dearborn and husband, Steve of Broad Brook and Frank Schumann and wife, Mary of Kapolei, HI; three grandchildren, Ashley Rose Schumann, Ryan Dearborn and wife, Rachel, Heather Ann Dearborn and a great granddaughter, Allison Dearborn. He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Ferris. A memorial service will be held, Saturday 11 a.m., at the Samsel Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.

(Kay) Regan, of Manchester passed away peacefully on Monday (March 10, 2008), at Woodlake at Tolland, after a brief illness. She was born in New York City, NY, daughter of the late Patrick and Delia Sullivan, and was predeceased by her husband Martin J. Regan, Jr. (d. 1969.) Kay was a resident of Manchester since 1951, and was retired from the Town of Vernon after 18 years of service.

She was actively involved in numerous church and charitable organizations serving the community in Manchester throughout her life. For many years Kay volunteered at the Manchester Area Council of Place Kitchen in Manchester. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed walking, and traveling along with supporting the arts as a subscriber to the Bushnell and the Connecticut Opera. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Mannix, of Medford Lakes, NJ; her six children, Michael J. Regan, of Mystic, Sharon R.

Matthews (William) of Boston, MA, Sheilagh J. Regan-Kiarsis (Stephen Kiarsis) of Manchester, David A. Regan, of Portland, OR, John F. Regan, of Manchester, and Katherine R. Melnicki (James); and grandchildren Zachary R.

and Andrew J. Melnicki, of Mercerville, NJ; sisters-in-law, Teresa K. Regan, of Florence, SC, and Helen Regan, of Harrisburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Clayton was predeceased by two brothers Alec Clayton and Ian George, and Grandfathers Roger Graveline and Hopeton Swaby. She was born on September 6, 1929 in Perth Amboy, NJ, a daughter of the late Henry and Fannie (Tieber) Gluck. She graduated in 1951 from Jersey City State College (NJ) with a teaching degree. She had a number of careers including teaching 2nd grade in Moodus, working as a special education tutor for Bloomfield Public Schools and at St. School in Hartford and managing the bookstore at Miss School.

She was elected to the Prosser Public Library Board in Bloomfield and served as its chairman. In addition, she was appointed Democratic Registrar of Voters for the Town of Bloomfield. She had wide ranging interests. Of significant importance to her was her over 20 years of volunteer work with the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation, including serving as State Coordinator. She was a member and treasurer of the Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary and, with her husband, a charter member of the Bloomfield Square Dance Club.

She worked extensively with immigrants from behind the Iron Curtain. She enjoyed travel and was an enthusiastic member of the Friendship Force. She was predeceased by her older sister, Gloria Isaacs Berlin, and her younger brother, Lowell Gluck. In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by her three loving daughters and sons-in-law, Judith Shenkman Stockton and her husband, David, of Springfield, VA, Susan Shenkman and her husband, Marc Gurvitch, of Jamaica Plain, MA, and Hope Shenkman Kligerman and her husband, Bryant, of Denver, CO and her four loving grandchildren, Adam Stockton of New York City, Jonathan Stockton of Springfield, VA, Shayla Kligerman of Denver, CO and Eli Gurvitch of Jamaica Plain, MA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of close friends.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Caleb Hitchcock, the staff of VNA HealthCare and Hospice and Dr. Joel Silver and the staff of the Gothic Park Chemo Center for their wonderful care and support. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Duncaster in Bloomfield.
