Schlater Drive, Morgan City, was charged with simple assault and released on bond. Jerry G. 'Hoss' Gayden VAIDEN Services for Jerry G. "Hoss" Gayden, 62, of Vaiden, who died of acute myocardial infarction Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Tyler Holmes Hospital in Winona, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Roberts and Sons Mortuary in Winona.

Mr. Gayden, a retired attendant with Trailway Bus Lines, was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church near Winona and a native of Carroll County. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy D. Gayden; two sons, Charles Gayden of Vaiden and Larry Gayden of Ratcliff, Ky; three daughters, Patricia Newman of Winona, and Linda Gayden and Sheila Gayden, both of Vaiden; two brothers, Earl Gayden of Winona and Eddie Gayden of Vaiden; three sisters, Ruthie Kendle, Sadie Johnson and Mazell Davis, all of Winona; and nine grandchildren. The Rev.

Jesse Hearn will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Vaiden Hill Cemetery. Visitation will until 6 p.m. tonight at Roberts and Sons Mortuary. Juanita J.

'Duck' Green COILA Services for Juanita J. "Duck" Green, 61, of Coila, who died of cancer Monday, April 13, 1998, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roberts and Sons Mortuary in Winona. Mrs. Green was a retired meat packer with the Oscar Meyer Company in Chicago.

A native of Carroll County, Mrs. Green was a member of Bennett Chapel Full Gospel Methodist Church near Black Hawk. She is survived by her husband, Vance Green; two sons, Johnny Green of Chicago and Kendall Green of Coila; two daughters, Sheila 1 Green-Baines of Calument City, and Remi Green-McGregory of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Mary Black of Chicago; her father and stepmother, Rodger and Barbara Jordan both of Coila; three brothers, Houston Jordan, Jimmy, of Jordan and Rodger Jordan all Chicago; five sisters, Geneva Phillips of Seaque, Texas, Mary Jordan of Coila, and Josephine Green, Josequeen Harris and Annie Jordan, all of Chicago; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and five step great -grandchildren. The Rev. C.H.

Winfrey has agreed to do a voiceover for a "Philadelphia: The Place that Loves You Back" tourism spot.

The talk show host stayed in the city last year while filming the movie "Beloved," based on Morrison's novel of the same name. When Winfrey touted Morrison's' "Song of Solomon" on her book club, it became a best-seller as the selected books often do. 'I think she'll go a long way to validating Philadelphia as a vacation destination," said Rich Russo, creative director for the advertising agency Tierney Partners. Former presidential candidate Bob Dole also was tapped for a tourism spot. He will narrate one about nearby Valley Forge.

Winfrey and Dole will do the spots for free, but the city's tourism marketing group Services for Mrs. Louise Walker, 91, of Annapolis, who died of heart failure Thursday, April 16, 1998, in Cantonsville, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Wilson Knight Funeral Home chapel. Mrs. Walker was a former resident of Greenwood.

She was a retired teacher. She taught at Greenwood High School and Pillow Academy. Mrs. Walker was the widow of the late R.T. Walker, who died in 1972.

Survivors include one son, Thomas G. Walker of Annapolis, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Walker of Dallas. Visitation will be from noon until the service Monday at Wilson Knight Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Odd Fellows Mausoleum. Freddie Paul Michael EL DORADO, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Michael and a son, Richard P. Michael. Mr. Michael is survived by two sons, Max L. Michael of Greenwood and Freddie Joe Michael of El Dorado, seven grandchildren; and three great -grandchildren.

The Rev. David McKillin will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado. Young's Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Willie Douglas Moore CARROLLTON Services for Willie Douglas Moore, 75, of Carrollton, who died of diabetes Thurs- day, April 16, 1998, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford, will be at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County, Mr. Moore, a life long resident of Carroll County, was retired from Peoples Bank of Carrollton after 47 as a cashier. He was a World War II veteran and a Mason. years Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Gloria Brown Moore; three daughters, Rhonda Beck of Carrollton, and Paula Wiggins and Karon Brooks, both of Greenwood; a son, Brad Moore of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The Rev. Gary Tanner and the Rev. Leon Holly will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Moore's Memorial in Carroll County. Visitation will be from 5 p.m.

Hunter Tylo's 4-month-old daughter, Katya, has a rare form of eye cancer called retinoblastoma, which was diagnosed after the actress noticed the girl's eye wasn't dilating as it should.
